The beachside locay was lovely, but the clubby music was not appropriate for dinner. It was also a shame that there were not al fresco dining options -especially when the beach bar dj finished mid evening anyway.
The wine menu was overpriced and a very limited selection. It was minimum €9 for a glass of wine and was literally a mouthful poured at the table with no proper measuring device used / so felt less than the 125ml disclosed on the menu. (Which is still a fraction of a regular Portuguese measure)
I ordered the falafel salad and the falafel was hard as nails with no flavour, seasoning or dip. I asked for salt and pepper and never received it. My friend ordered ‘bao’ buns which were thin and brown. FYI bao are normally white and fluffy.
I think if many ‘fusion’ dishes are offered on the menu from different cuisines then they need to be executed with efficacy. It is not an easy thing to get right, but if you are charging a premium for the area it needs to be reflected in the food quality which it really wasn’t.
The toilets were not clean and there should be different restrooms for beach club vs restaurant diners.
All in all I think a lot of improvements should be made for the highly above average pricing for...
Read moreThe place location is really nice with great potential however the service is just a joke. Waitress at the restaurant was so rude and asking for reservations (which we had) but was very dismissive and arrogant even after giving her my name. Honestly that was unacceptable however other waiters were more hospitable. What’s clear is that every person has received a training from a different place because you can obviously see a huge difference in service level. I spoke to one waiter who removed our towel from the sun bed and he didn’t even respond to me when asking him why. Super rude. The only reason I’m giving this place a two star is because of the food which was delicious. We had the ribs and big shrimps - super yummy. However with this rubbish service I don’t think it makes up for the 80 euro minimum charge (which we spent way above). For the management team I think you need to seriously reconsider how you are operating in this place. Drinks are also different when u order the same thing. Overall I’m quite disappointed...
Read moreI visited today and was shocked to be charged €15 for a poorly prepared Aperol Spritz. The drink had about 50ml of Aperol, not even that… the jigger wasn’t even properly filled, an excessive amount of sparkling water, and only a splash of Prosecco — not the proper recipe by any standard.
For reference, a proper Aperol Spritz is typically: • 3 parts Prosecco • 2 parts Aperol • 1 part soda water • Garnished with an orange slice, served over ice in a large wine glass.
To make things worse, the server supposedly called Ana (a white, stained blonde hair lady) was unfriendly, turned her back to me during the payment process, and didn’t even offer a “thank you” or “have a nice day.” For the price you’re charging, the quality of the drink and the level of service should be significantly higher. No wonder the place was nearly empty. Your staff could definitely benefit from a lesson or two in hostmanship and basic mixology...
