Restaurante Zé Leiteiro — Restaurant in Silves

Great restaurant for delicious grilled fish. All you can eat fish + boiled potatoes for 17€. There is no a la carte menu and after you are seated, they will start serving you different types of fish. We had stone bass (body and huge head), salmon, sardine, sea bass and squid. They also have horse mackerel (and possibly other fish) but we were simply too full to eat anymore as they do serve you generous portions of fish!

Salad is an optional extra. 3€ for a full portion and 2€ for half portion. The salad went really well with the boiled potatoes and fish.

Service was excellent and friendly, which made for an even better experience. The waiters spoke good English and one also spoke French.

For dessert (3€), they have caramel pudding, strawberry cheesecake, biscuit cake (we absolutely loved this!) and orange cake. You can also get fruits for 2€.

I highly recommend this restaurant and would definitely go back!

This restaurant situated in an little alley close to the Armazao da Pera Promenade, we were having a lovely trip in Algarve, when we read about this place, we decided to try it, when we arrived a waiter ushered us in a seat at a table that we had to share we other people. The experience was incredible, after a few seconds we had a dish of grilled bass and boiled potatoes, my mouth is watering as I am writing this review, we ate as much fish as we could( squid, salmon, sardines, bass etc) everything was exquisite, the price was 14 euros each for the buffet dinner, it's a gift, moreover, we had for desert a big piece of pudding for 2 euros, I would pay twice the money happily for our dinner, we came back twice . Long story short: Don’t miss this gem. We arrived without noticing that it’s an all you can eat restaurant. Nov. 2021 the price per person is 14 euro, salad, boiled potato and bread included. Drinks on additional price. My partner and I were super happy that there’s 250ml option for wine since we don’t drink as much. ( a guy next to us took 1L red wine himself and finished it, respect. ) Fresh fish of the day, they will bring out everything and put on your plates, and KEEP putting!
