Hamburgueria do Maçãs — Restaurant in Sintra

Best location for spectacular sunsets in our stay here. Seating area had windows to protect from wind but also keep the aesthetics of uninhibited views of beach and ocean.

English and Portuguese menus available.

Hamburgers were fresh and used good quality ingredients (we had the O Guaca). Fries were seasoned with salt and rosemary; and tasted like fresh potatos (rather than fried).

Lemon tart was beautifully handmade with traditional pastry, and perfectly balanced (not too sweet or sour).

Local Rose was superb. Fresh, light and a perfect drink for a balmy spring evening.

Service staff were super friendly, helpful and honest (advised one dessert would be large enough to share after our meal).

The burger was delicious, the burger bread being was also a delicious choice however, it was a bit old so when I was cutting it, it would softly split into pieces, I don't recall what it called in English, it was a sign of old or perhaps too long kept in the fridge, or similar. Had the same feeling about the french fries there. It had a nice flavour but was cooked or re-cooked, didn't taste fresh. The service was fine, the view was perfect and overall I was hungry...
