Five stars for the shrimp! My partner and I tried the shrimp, cod, and octopus. I didn’t see the shrimp on the menu, but I just asked the waiter for it since I had seen some pictures. My favorite things by far were the shrimp and the bread. The shrimp was extremely flavorful, most because of the sauce. It’s a garlicky, salty, and acidic sauce, and it tastes amazing. The bread is great too, and tastes like they bake it fresh. The cod and octopus were also pretty good, but I liked the shrimp a lot more. Both the cod and octopus were not that flavorful, and tasted better when dipped in the shrimp sauce. This place is a great deal too, you got a lot of bang for your buck. It’s also quite popular with the locals, we came around 1230 on a Monday and the huge spade was almost fully packed.

My friends and I had such a lovely experience at this restaurant. We were recommended this place as an accessible restaurant for folks who want to try some local Portuguese food in Sintra. The owner had chatted with us because he had lived in Boston previously. He and his staff made us feel so welcome! The food was delicious as well! We had octopus, cuttlefish, and the fried cod, with everything was cooked to perfection. Try the house Ginjinha if you have the chance, or the lunch specials which were highly recommended. Such an excellent pick if you want an unfussy, local dinner spot. Thank you for the great experience!

We visited here twice. This restaurant is big and has many tables and chairs. Ideal for groups. It gets busy especially on Sunday. Better to make a reservation. We really appreciate that they accommodate us even though we didn't have a reservation and they are so busy. It was Easter. We enjoyed our food. It took time for our food to arrive since it was a full house. No problem with us. They have a big portion per serving. Anyway, they will serve the olives and bread even if you don't ask and it will be included in your bill. Even if you didn't eat it you still have to pay.
