Food* We ordered the vegan burger and it was definitely one of the more interesting we’ve tasted. Planted on a bed of delicious cabbage this burger was very good but not the best in terms of flavor profile and taste. The cabbage is what saved this dish because it was the most delicious cabbage I’ve ever had. There were not many vegan options on the menu but there was enough for us to order a meal. They had several vegan desserts but we didn’t have room for those! They looked scrumptious though!

Atmosphere* The Café was very cute but they do not have a lot of seating this would not be good for a larger party. It’s possible we didn’t see the other seating area so I will still give this three stars since our experience was pleasurable. Parking offsite but streets are narrow as of most of Sintra.

Service** The waitress was very nice and accommodating to all our needs.

Contrary to other reviews, there are NOT truly gluten free food options here. Like much of the small towns I’ve encountered somehow gluten free is synonymous with vegetarian. The menu even includes a disclaimer that the food is not prepared in a way safe for celiacs. They do however sell some certified products (some pasta from Italy, cookies, cereals and flour mixes). The “gf” bread for toast, which was the only “gf” item other than salad, was awful. And without safe cooking environments, I wouldn’t eat it myself with no guarantees and a taste like this. Perhaps for someone choosing to eat gf, it comes with the territory, but as a real celiac I refuse to subject myself to grit that doesn’t taste good. I was very excited to try Ekvilibro at first, but ended up completely DISSAPOINTED!!! The prices are beyond ridiculous with such small portions, its a shame! i have visited various healthily/Gluten free restaurants and understand that ingredients are more expensive, but this was by far the most expensive with the smallest portions! They have changed the menu and put the prices even higher than before. I understand that restaurants are all suffering during COVID, however, we cant be held responsible for it by paying double what other restaurants are offering!
