The location was convenient and the room was clean upon arrival.

The bed was very uncomfortable, with a dip in the mattress that made it impossible to rest. It had no proper support and was placed on a flimsy slatted base. As someone with a medical condition, I had to leave without staying the night. When I addressed the issue with the host, I received an unprofessional and accusatory response, including false claims about my intentions. This is such a great place, we didn't want to leave it. Cosy rooms, modern interior, quiet, super clean and with well equipped kitchen. Our room had a window in the roof and we were able to see the Moorish castle in the foggy mornings and bright nights. I've been in Sintra 4 times and Mouralua is the winner of all the places I've stayed in. Also, thanks to the owners for managing everything so well. We were allowed to leave our belongings in the guesthouse after check out, as we wanted to explore Sintra rather than walking around hot Lisbon with backpacks on. Really...

Great accommodation and really clean. Landlady is wonderful, although she speaks very little English so be prepared to learn at least a little Portuguese. Her son who actually runs the place speaks good English and is an incredibly friendly and helpful person. This place is relatively basic, although very spacious and comfortable. It's also very clean.
