Extremely expensive, for very basic, miniature chicken and chips.Wow 9.50 euros. Smallest chickens we have ever seen. We had a joke afterwards. It was more the size of quail. However, we joked there's actually more meat on a quail. Tip don't have the half chicken special cut in peices. We were eating late and dedparate for something quick to eat. Hence us hoping in. We order 3 half chickens they asked if we wanted it cutting. To our reconing we should have had 3 legs. 1 each. But no we got 6 legs, a couple of wings and that was it. 9.50 euros each. Normally 4 or 5 euros anywhere. The chicken was so small the legs were miniature. There was no chicken meat, it was all bones, we couldn't find any meat. Extremely poor. No breast or meat at all and no solid peices. Think we just got the scraps. We asked if 2 people could have salad instead of chips as they can't eat chips, only to be told, No. Its chicken and chips. That's it. You will have to buy a salad. Over 7 euros for a small side salad. It wasn't a fresh green salad it was swimming in oil. Normally come free or maximum 2 to 3 euros. The beer, wine and was the most expensive in town. Suspect will do OK in August with the tourist but come September, October when they have to rely on local trade they will really struggle and have no customers. The price of the Beer was ridiculously high.
3 small bottles of water 9.90 euros?
We certainly won't be visiting again. Very poor and vastly over priced. They have clearly not checked the other bars and restaurants nearby.
Wish we had gone elwithout to be Frank. Very poor. Not...
Read morePassed this place many times before finally venturing in. It's hard to miss although in a curious location on the outskirts of Tavira centre. Large outdoor and indoor seating areas, nice decor and very clean. Whilst waiting for our order I read some of the other reviews so my expectations were set very low. In the end it wasn't quite that bad. The service was attentive although some of our drinks order got missed (language issue?). We ordered chicken piri-piri, chicken wings and salads. The chicken portions were fairly small, definitely not the half chicken per person listed in the menu and largely bones (unless the chickens had no breast)!. Tasty nevertheless. Plenty of fries, side salads OK. Big range of desserts on offer,; the mousse, cheesecake etc. we had were pretty good. Coffee good and strong. All-in all a pretty average meal but at above average prices even though we took the cheapest options. Drinks prices are extortionate e.g. €5.90 for a 75cl bottle of water. Won't...

We stopped here after being drawn in by the fun chicken sign on the road – unfortunately, we really wish we had just kept on driving.
Both my partner and I ordered the half chicken piri piri, expecting a decent portion for the price. What arrived was shockingly small – each "half chicken" came on one tiny plate and looked more like a quail than any chicken we've ever seen. We were genuinely confused and asked the waiters if this was supposed to be a whole chicken (i.e. two halves). To our surprise, they confirmed it was.
To be fair, the chicken itself tasted good and the waiting staff friendly– But the size of the chcken was laughable for what they charge. It left us still hungry and feeling ripped off.
Overall, it was a very underwhelming visit. Poor value. We wouldn’t recommend! Plenty of other chicken restaurants along that main road... go...
