To flee, repetitive racism.
I do not recommend this restaurant, the waiter is racist. Explanations below. The first time we went to this restaurant (small group with people of color) the waiter told us everything was reserved. However, there was a table that was not reserved and I told him that I had seen that there was an unreserved table. Faced with this he agreed to receive us but with bad grace. But when white people who didn't have reservations arrived after us, he readily agreed to put them on a table that was already reserved because the reservation was for later. Also, to order, he took the order from people who had arrived after us, despite the fact that I waved at him to order before. Everything we asked after during the meal took time. I found it all unpleasant but I didn't want to think about it anymore.
So we went back a second time. This time also the same waiter told us that he couldn't accommodate us because all the tables were reserved. However a white couple arrived a few minutes after us, I very clearly heard this couple tell him that he had no reservation. But the waiter this time also removed the reserved sign and gave them a table. Faced with this indisputable manifest racism, I commented to him on what had just happened. He tried to deny saying the couple had a reservation. But I told him that I had very clearly heard the couple say that they had no reservation. In the face of my response, he couldn't deny it anymore, he just turned his head away and continued to go about his business with no...
Read moreNot sure what other reviewers received but my experience here was awful for a dinner service.
Service was ridiculously slow, I felt sorry for the poor waiter (or owner?) as he was running like a headless chicken all alone despite him being super friendly.
The food itself (Salmon and COD) were horrible, salty, overcooked and had a weird aftertaste. The vegetables were overboiled, soggy and tasteless, and the potatoes were just plain boiled, no seasoning what so ever. Looked like something straight out of a school lunch.
Can't really recommend this place, maybe the other items on the menu are better but I'd advise to stay clear of the above...
Read moreWe were lucky enough to get a table for lunch on a Saturday, reservations are recommended. We had the mixed grilled fish and the grilled dourado dishes. We also shared a dessert (Doce de Leite- yummy) and had two coffees. The fish was very fresh and accompanied by either boiled potatoes or fries (we opted for boiled). Our waiter was very attentive and really nice with a great sense of humor. Prices are very reasonable considering the food and service. Would definitely go back if in...
