Oh my my. 2 curries in 2 days was not the plan. However….. this place, if you are in Tavira and want a curry. You have to try this place. I have eaten curries all around the world, east London, central India, Bangladesh. This is there with the best.
I wasn’t looking for a curry however the place I wanted to go wasn’t open so after walking past 4 times we decided to give it a go on price alone. Lunch menu €10 you can’t go wrong right??? Trust me you can’t.
From the outside you wouldn’t know how good the ratings are (go on trust pilot over 600+ 5* reviews. Google gives it a 4.7 which is superb.
Decor decent, not the most modern but what are we looking for here. The food right.
Ordered
Onion bhaji Chicken tikka Lamb korma (spicy) Chicken tikka masala Peshwari Naan Pilau rice Beer Coke Coffee x2
The food was just perfect. Flavour, heat, temperature. Maybe a piece of lamb more needed but not going to grumble. It was demolished. So good and for the price you would be mad not to try it.
Staff amazing. From Nepal to harrow. Good conversation very professional and just exactly what we wanted. Will we go back. 10000% we will you have to as well.
(Beer and Coke...
Read moreThis was the first restaurant I visted at the start of my week-long holiday in Tavira (24th August 25).
I usually start my day with a walk and this is how I discovered Punjabi Palace.
The service that was provided here by the waiters was excellent, and the initial greeting was very positive and I felt right at home (I love Indian food and regularly frequent my local establishment back home any chance I get).
My order is always the same, which is onion bhaji to start, followed by a main of vegetable biryani, that is partnered with an ice cold Cobra beer 👌 (absolute perfection).
The food they offered was truly awesome, easily the highlight of my week. Tasty, savoury, and wanting more. But served with so much that you simply cannot finish.
This is what makes Punjabi Palace the best food establishment in Tavira (in my opinion).
I was served with friendliness and professionalism each time I visited, and although I probably will never return to Tavira, you guys would still be the first I would visit should I ever return.
Nice meeting you guys, All the best...
Read moreWithout question as prescribed on Trip Advisor the best Indian in Tavira. We are always questionable on the quality of Indian restaurants abroad, but this one lived up to expectations and beyond. But be careful the portions are huge! We ordered starters and mains, but when the starters arrived we new we were in trouble to devour the lot. Asked to bag one main to take away, very obliging and polite. The food quality of the meat is honestly exceptional. Makes my local UK Indian a cheap alternative! You will not be disappointed, owner is a very very nice chap. Good and happy eating to you all.....we visit Tavira regularly each year, perhaps 4 times a year, now each visit will also take in...
