Mature couple on winter holiday Went twice ! Sunday lunch. Roast beef, Yorkshire pudding, peas. green beans, cabbage, colleyflower, roast potatoes,. All real good portions. Beer was lovely cold. Great live band. Place was real busy. Waiting staff a bit run off their feet ! Went back again mid week, less busy..I had the rack of spare ribs and chips.. big big portion. OH had sea bass, whole big fish cooked brilliantly over a bbq. Overall its a decent place. Food is good and the portions are extremely generous. I'd say for me I'd rate it at 7.5 out of 10, That said I'd go back again. Standout for me was the spare ribs. Dog friendly

Had a traditional Sunday roast here and it was superb. A choice of lamb, beef, chicken or a mix but our group all chose lamb. Beautifully presented and cooked to perfection and not a boiled or mashed potato in sight, just lovely roasties. Traditional Portuguese veg such as broccoli, cauliflower cheese and carrots plus a bowl of more traditional British veg like peas, beans and cabbage and not forgetting the gravy. €12 per person includes a drink. We had guitarists playing traditional Portuguese songs and the bonus of glorious December sunshine. I would absolutely recommend, if Carlsberg did Sunday’s…

Went for dinner 7pm on a Saturday evening. The staff serving were very friendly with good English and accommodative to families. The outdoor area has a childrens slide which was a bonus. The starter was couvert (bread, olives, butter, carrotts and pate) which was reasonably priced at €4.50. The main course we had was roast chicken and chili prawns. The prawns were a generous portion and roast chicken was on the bone with a crisp roast taste and texture. Both dishes were accompanied by chips, salad, rice. Portion sizes were generous and staff very professional would certainly return

I have been eating here regularly for the last 15 months since accidentally coming across it when driving around Cabanas on my first visit. The peri peri chicken is amazing, the chicken kebabs are likewise and absolutely massive and the burgers and fillet steaks were brilliant too. I especially love the hand cut chips.

I love its dated decor but friendly staff - the two work perfectly and we will continue to come back to this gem every time we are in town.

It is very family friendly and I have often seen 3 generations eating together as I did last night.

It is great...
