A Must Go!

I've been to the algarve a few times now and i have visited a lot of the restaurants there and Cabanas Brasserie was the best of the bunch!

The service was exceptional and has been every time I have visited, so I was surprised to see that there was a negative comment about the service. The owners are extremely friendly and take time to make sure that you get the best experience from your visit, with a personal touch, which I feel most restaurants in the area severely lack.

The service is great, but it's the food that really makes it exceptional. Their menu offers a great variety of food, with great specials which are updated regularly. I'd personally recommend the steak in brandy and mustard sauce, because it really was out of this world!

Just returned from the Algarve where I managed to visit my favourite restaurant that we discovered last year, and I wasn't disappointed. They do the finest bowl of steamed mussels you'll ever eat, and every meal is personalised and cooked to perfection (compliments to the lady of the house- excellent chef!) and the service is warm, friendly and inviting, owned by a lovely family with good hearts. If you're an animal lover, hang around to watch the local cats come running for dinner at 11pm sharp as they feed them every night. We have been going to Cabanas for the last 11 years, and it's the first place we have dinner every time. As soon as you walk through the door Fernando remembers you and makes you feel welcome. Gills cooking is wonderful, we've never had a bad meal, and if there is nothing on the menu you fancy, if you give Gill 24 hours notice she will cook you whatever you want.
