We went here for lunch, three couples. The dishes were a bit expensive for this party, so although I really wanted the T-bone I had the steak, we all did. It was the only one that was “affordable” for the group as it would cost 18 per 2 person. The meat was good and the French fries were awesome! The place was very full on a Saturday but we were able to get a table inside. The olives were the “plastic” black kind and not our super great Portuguese olives. The salad dressing could have been a lot better. For dessert we all had the house sweet, that was very good 😊 Staff is ok and the service is fast. Will probably return to try the T-bone and really love the fries. The price is what is pulling this rating down it is very expensive

I tried the cabrito assado em forno de lenha (oven-roasted young goat) together with the soup of the day, appetizers, and Xisto white wine. The main dish was excellent — the meat was tender, juicy, and served with a delicious white wine sauce. I’ve had this dish in several places, but here it’s definitely worth recommending. The only downside was the dessert — watermelon served in a plastic cup instead of freshly sliced. Still, the main course is so generous that a rich dessert would probably be too much anyway. The Xisto wine was also a great choice: fresh, dry, and fruity. Overall, highly recommended, especially for the cabrito assado.

Im afraid I cannot share the same opinion as the others clients about this place. The food was a disaster. We were served a rock hard cheese still in its wrapper!!!! In all my life (I’m 56) have I ever been served a dish in its own wrapper in a restaurant. The cheese was so hard I could not cut it. Then came the over cooked loin of pork served with lukewarm potatoes and rice. A complete disaster. Do not even attempt to go there. However the service was charming with a very smiley waitress. But that’s it. The value for money …. well €50 for 2 is very steep.

This restaurant is just mediocre, nothing of special. The "traditional" plates are just some basic plates from around the region. I ordered a "Posta à sobreiro" the meat was not that great, paid 40€ for a portion and the meat was bland, and came with to much pepper, for the price the meat was not as tender as it should have been, the consistency between the veal stakes varies a lot, some came undercooked while others came ok. The menu does not have much variation, there were about 6 meat options and 2 fish options. The waiters do not pay enough attention to the utensils in the tables, we had one broken glass and one broken pot, where the rice was. Clearly this is a marked up place,...
