I’ll give this the max rating as it’s a perfect spot away from the very busy main Monte Gordo beach crowd. The crowd is thinner here as you walk towards the last part of the Portuguese coastline before meeting the Guadiana and Spain. This is a hip and well appointed spot: perfect for a dip in the warmer eastern Algarve waters. We were fortunate and happy to have found this spot. Top marks for professional cordiality and service. Luis and his wife ( I believe) were the managers at time we visited. Use of shades which deflect the sun and allow air-flow make the ground floor the lace to be. If you don’t mind a view from above then there is usually space on the open deck upstairs that make use of parasols to keep you from sweating. The menu is not substantial though it should suit most tastes - not expensive if you consider the standard of decor, location and service. You made our short stint down south a trip to remember. Thanks to Luis and the team. These guys work hard all day and late in to the night for events also. You have our respect so make sure you have a few splashes in the ocean when time is on...
Read moreThe best restaurant in Monte Gordo if you enjoy fine dining and having an experience.
The food is divinal! Probably the best picanha and argentinian steak I ever had in my life.
The atmosphere is great and gets better when the restaurant is full of guests. You have a beautiful view of the beach and I recommend to book in advance a table by the window for the best experience. I hate round sofas as my back usually hurts, but the round sofas in this restaurant were so comfortable that I felt in heaven.
I am picky about dining service but the waiters in this restaurant were trained and competent to work in the most luxurious restaurants in the world, what a blessing to finally find 5 stars service in Monte Gordo. A little improvement is to have the waiters proactively approaching customers entering the restaurant. I should not have to enter through the whole restaurant and have to make the first contact begging for a table for 3.

Read moreWe went here last night, we had the bread/butter/pate/olive, tempura prawns and 3 tapas starter, mains were prawn curry, the lamb and a kids breaded chicken and rice, desserts chocolate cake with ice cream and a lotus tiramasu. All the food was absolutely beautiful, we couldn't fault any of it in either taste or portion size, maybe add some veg to the lamb dish. The service from our waiters was the best we have experienced our whole time in Portugal and in a lovely setting right on the beach the atmosphere was lovely. It was a long dark walk back to our hotel along the boardwalk but this is not the restaurants responsibility. 100% we're going back and would...
