My recent dining experience at Hel-Bar left me absolutely captivated! From the moment I stepped in, I was enchanted by the inviting ambiance and warm coastal vibes. The culinary journey took my taste buds on an extraordinary adventure with their exquisite array of fresh seafood delicacies.

Tourist trap - advisory. I went for dinner and for a fish for 2, paid 60 euros for the sea bass ( robalo) but came without any side dish, no potatoes, salad, nothing. All was paid extra. Ended up paying 121 euros for a normal dinner of grilled fish that would cost 55 euros max, elsewhere. See the invoice in annex. The seafood ( marisco) was a normal plate of steamed clams the Bulhão pato way, ameijoas a Bulhão pato, 25 euros for a normal entry that in all other restaurants costa 11 to 12 euros. And they were full of sand and Iinformed the waiter that excused saying it was a morning catch, lack of quality,I would say. Please be aware, all is paid as extra. It is the first time I leave a restaurant feeling I was robbed. Besides all, people, friends of the employees, there also to eat, were speaking loud, not creating a very good environment. Very disappointing experience, have been in most of the beach front restaurants in Monte Gordo and this has been the worse. Extremely loud groups beside our table, no respect or consideration of other people, well known by staff which gave them priority all the times above other costumers. Staff not well organised, unfriendly as if we were an inconvenience to them, avoiding service at several occasions. Took 45 min between sitting down and get the starter and 5 min latter the main arrived, waiter almost took starter plates away and rushing to leave the main, borderline disrespectful.
