Monte Gordo Hotel, Apartamentos & SPA — Hotel in Vila Real de Santo António

The staff were nice but not super open or Friendly though the apartment was big and very new. However after seeing the pictures of the gym and the pool online , I found the real life version of them very underwhelming. A swimming cap is mandatory for the pool which I have never experienced before in a hotel and the gym only has 4-5 very basic instruments/machines like a bike and treadmill. Furthermore the food was limited and I regret paying for half pension. Lastly the WiFi is basically non existent, I pretty much wonder how this hotel got 4 stars.

Considering the price, I’d say the apartment itself is very worth it but I’d avoid paying extra for any kind of food service. I am unsure whether this hotel and price tag is worth more than any competitor 3 star hotel...

Top Class Rooms with Nice Balconies, but the Hotel is only really for Business People, this is not a Good Hotel for Long Holiday. The Pool is on the wrong side of the Hotel and doesnt get any Sunshine and they normally have an Overhead Cover over the Pool. The Bar/Restaurant area lacks any Holiday Feel to it, but once again is okay for Business People. Luckily I used the Nearby Alcaraz Hotel Pool & Poolside Bar/Restaurant in the daytime when I was not Touring around. Now the Alcaraz is a Real Holiday Hotel with a Holiday Feel to it, but unfortunately there is no Holiday Feel to the Monte Gordo Hotel. The Ground Floor needs Completely Renovating in my Opinion and a Roof Top Pool needs Adding to keep this Hotel Afloat in the Future, unless it can survive on...

Le pongo una estrella porque no se puede menos, porque no tiene nada de lo que ofrecen. Una de las peores experiencias que he tenido en un hotel, cuando llegamos la habitación estaba muy sucia, pelos por todos lados, arena en el bitet , resto de caca en la taza del vater, la guía de la puerta del armario sucia, la guía de la ventana también sucia, restos de arena en la nevera..en fin, fui a recepción a pedir un cambio de habitación y el recepcionista, en vez de darme una solución real, se hizo el desentendido (hizo q miró el ordenador, a ver si tenía libres pero ni miró)y la única solución que dio fue mandar a limpiarla otra vez. Acepté porque no me quedaba otra, pero la ‘limpieza’ duró apenas 10 minutos y lo único que hicieron fue pasar un poco al piso, dejando todo prácticamente igual, y luego me dice (el recepcionista) que las chicas de la limpieza le habían dicho que no sabían porque me quejaba, que ellas la habían visto limpia.No me quedo más remedio que aceptar la habitación… El segundo día, hicieron la habitación, pero se olvidaron de un detalle, pasarle a la mesa ya que tenía restos de pan del día anterior…y las guías tanto del armario como ventana seguían sucias… Bueno pues ya estando allí cuando era la hora de descansar, y encendíamos la televisión, se nos iba la luz y nos quedábamos sin luz, sin aire acondicionado y sin televisión. El desayuno pésimo, café de lo peor que he probado… En cuanto a la piscina, spa y gimnasio no puedo decir nada porque visto lo visto opté por no ir, la piscina justo debajo de nuestra habitación se veía claramente la falta de limpieza. Otra cosita tienes dos escaleras, para acceder al hotel, que para subir y bajar escaleras con maletas fatal, una persona mayor, fatal fatal y una persona con discapacidad fisica que le impida caminar ni te cuento. Pagué 800 euros por 4 noches en un hotel ( solo con desayuno) que no costaba ni 300. Un robo en toda regla… La falta de profesionalidad y de interés hacia el cliente es increíble. Un lugar descuidado, con un servicio pésimo y sin ninguna seriedad. No volveré jamás y recomiendo a cualquiera evitar este hotel. En fin que este “hotel” que dice que tiene 4 estrellas para mí no tendría ni 2.
