Seven Senses — Restaurant in Viseu

Incredible meals and amazing and dedicated hosts! The chef was so nice and the waiters gave us so much attention and advise about the courses that we would like the most! We ordered octopus, steak and lamb, the steak and lamb were so tender and the flavour incredible! The octopus was perfect and the sauce lifted the course to the top! For dessert we order the brownie and walnutcake. One word; heavenly. We came all the way from Norway and it was totally worth it! We will come back as soon...

Excellent dinner! The food was creative and delicious. Easily the best restaurant we enjoyed in Viseu, if not all of Portugal. The chef developed a menu using traditional Portuguese ingredients, marvelously updated in creative, internationally contemporary ways. The wine menu and suggestions were perfect accompaniments. Les étés précédents, j'ai tenté en vain de venir sans réservation et c’était complet à chaque fois. Cette fois-ci, dès mon arrivée cet automne, j'ai pris l'initiative de réserver, et cette stratégie a porté ses fruits !

Mamma mia ! C'est sans doute l'un des restaurants les plus en vogue à Viseu actuellement. Les plats sont confectionnés avec une précision qui se ressent dans chaque bouchée. Mon choix s'est porté sur le poulet curry, bien plus qu'une simple version de ce plat... Il a réussi à évoquer en moi le souvenir d'un colombo de poulet dégusté dans l'un de mes restaurants préférés à Disneyland Paris (Captain Jack Restaurant). En réalité, il m'a rappelé cela, mais en étant encore meilleur ! Les Arancinis en entrée étaient revisités avec une explosion de saveurs.

L'ambiance est résolument moderne et agréable. Le personnel est impeccable.

Il n'y a guère de critiques à formuler, si ce n'est que ce restaurant s'impose rapidement parmi mes préférés...
