Timeless Restaurant — Restaurant in Al-Daayen

I went to Timeless in Lusail hoping for a pleasant dinner, great food, chill vibe. What we got instead was pure nonsense.

We tried calling to book around 20:00, and it took multiple calls before someone actually picked up. There was no online reservation link, despite what we’d hoped.

Upon arrival, two hostesses greeted us, still seated, mind you, confirmed our reservation, then one reluctantly stood to guide us in. The seated hostess rolled her eyes, muttered something in her language (what she's wearing is short), and then stared at me as if I were violating Geneva conventions. Apparently, my outfit (smart-casual, exactly what they advert that says “casual/business casual”) was a crime.

Her response? “You should’ve asked about dressing when booking.” Funny, no such restriction is anywhere on their site or profile. She then offered to seat us upstairs or somewhere else, effectively alienating us mid-kick. And yes, she invoked “Arabic restaurant” customs, despite the place serving alcohol and being clearly Pan-Asian fusion. Mind. Blown.

We were both stunned. My partner got upset, and honestly? We left. No apology, no sorry. Just snark, bad vibes, and zero hospitality. If your hostess is more interested in wardrobe policing than welcoming guests, I’m out.

From what I’ve seen, this isn't a one-off. Other reviews mention rough hostess behavior and poor customer service. In other words: don’t go unless you want to be judged not for how you eat, but for how you’re dressed.

Result: Zero stars. Definitely not recommending.

This place is an utter disappointment and offered a deflating experience from the very get-go. After having requested the restaurant to prepare a corner table with special arrangements, we were surprised to show up and there was no preparation made as per what I had requested. Truly appalling!

The food was basic in how it was prepared and cooked, and nothing better than the average in the way it was presented. The only reason holding us back from giving this spot a 1 star instead of 2 is that this may not be taken seriously by the reader and also because they did not mess up the grilled asparagus. Apart from that, every dish we ordered was barely edible.

Oh and in case you had any doubts, their prices are not even close to being worth the value!

Nice design , variety of food from sushi to beef pizza …..,good prices . Music is so low really. Reception staff need more professionalism first reservation , I called at one it is my birthday, I was waiting for 4 hours I called again and complain than they call 3 rd time to excuse and she sent offers, second day at arrival a friend arrived before me with casual white dress little bit open at the chest so they refuse enter, when I decide to left I went into G lobby they call again and they said it’s ok 🤦🏽‍♀️ It was embarrassing I was with people. Finally she forgot for the cake and she said it was in the package but I can choose cake and get it .
