Arabesque Restaurant — Restaurant in Doha

I spent my last evening in Doha at The Pearl-Qatar and had dinner at Arabesque as a solo diner.

I was greeted by Kiran who was so attentive and made sure that I was looked after all evening. I arrived early evening whilst the restaurant was quite empty, but by a couple of hours in, the restaurant became lively with music and families. There is indoor air-conditioned seating or outdoor seating with views of the marina.

The food is delicious and cooked freshly. I ordered the Shish taouk and also something from the hot mezze (almost like a lamb samosa, I can't remember the name, apologies!). The portions are very generous and food can be taken away if desired. I would also note that the price is incredibly reasonable given the location and high quality.

Freshly blended juices are available and of course, shisha! (aka hookah/ hubbly-bubbly). They have an extensive shisha menu for the flavour enthusiasts, including chocolate cookie and cream oreo flavour. But, as someone who prefers a refreshing palette, I was recommended blueberry mint which was divine. Fantastic food, wonderful service...

The restaurant is not ready to accommodate people during the World Cup. You need to chase the staffs to get a table. They have no time to explain about the set menu they serve. Despite that we came in a time where there was no game, the service was slow, we got the water without cups, and there were no tissues on the table. The drinks we ordered were tasteless and had no sweetness. Food arrived, the fries were old and cold. Kofta was extremely cold. The same goes for the fish.

We returned the plates after we complained to the manager. They changed the plates, but we felt it's still the same. We didn't eat much, and we kept the food as it was.

No one came back to check on us since they knew what we would say.

We paid 313 riyals for a service that no one can accept.

Big failure, i wonder about those who were there...

My best experience i had is from the restaurant named Arabesque . Excellent eating experience.. from delievering the food to the doorstep. The experience was the best, the food was very warm like im eating in the restaurant and it was packed nicely. After i had my dinner I have also received a call from the Manager of the restaurant his name Rabia, he was really good in asking how was the food and if everything was okay. Im glad the place counts of good manager that cares for the customer experiences . I thank him for all this effort they doing to make the customer satisfied and i have told him that i will for sure order...
