I am writing as a regular and loyal client to express my disappointment regarding the service and experience I encountered during my recent visit to your Landmark branch. Unfortunately, both the food and service fell below the high standards I have come to expect from your establishment.
When I raised my concerns, the manager, Emrah Pinar, became involved. To my surprise, his reaction to my complaint was highly unprofessional. His attitude came across as indifferent and dismissive. Rather than addressing my concerns with care or attempting to resolve the issue, he displayed an arrogant demeanor and failed to offer even a basic apology.
What was particularly upsetting was his reaction when I stated that this would be my last visit to the restaurant. Instead of apologizing or attempting to retain me as a valued customer, he responded with an indifferent remark: “It’s up to you. If you want to come back, come. If you don’t want to come back, no problem.” His lack of empathy and effort to reassure me—such as saying something like, “We would always want you to come back”—demonstrated a shocking disregard for customer loyalty.
Additionally, when I asked for the bill—despite not consuming anything—it was brought immediately, with no attempt to address the issue or ensure my satisfaction. This level of indifference and lack of concern for customer experience is deeply disappointing, especially given the typically high standards of customer service in Qatar.
I believe this incident reflects poorly on your organization and undermines the quality and reputation that you strive to uphold. As someone who has valued your brand, I hope you will take this feedback seriously and address the matter...
Read moreOur visit to Mado restaurant in Doha was quite disappointing. Despite ordering tea with baklava, a portion of our order was initially missed and we had to request it a second time. Unfortunately, the baklava served was stale and seemed old. When we brought this to the attention of our waiter, Lawrence, and requested a replacement, things took a turn for the worse. Lawrence returned with a supervisor, whose name I cannot recall, and her demeanor was notably unpleasant. Despite our concerns about the quality of the baklava, she adamantly insisted it was not old, displaying poor customer service. In frustration, I declined any further argument and asked them to take it back.
At the end of our meal, upon receiving the bill, we were surprised to find the charge for the uneaten baklava. When I questioned Lawrence about this, he indicated that we were expected to pay for it regardless, and the supervisor was called over once again. She unyieldingly insisted on charging us, which left us thoroughly disappointed. Having visited Mado restaurants in other countries such as Saudi Arabia, Turkey, and Azerbaijan, this particular experience in Qatar stands out as the most unpleasant. Regrettably, due to the unsatisfactory service and treatment received, our overall impression of our time in Qatar was negatively impacted. If possible, I would rate this experience zero stars. Our dining occurred on November 18 between 8...
Read moreI recently had the pleasure of visiting MADO, a Turkish restaurant located in the Pearl, and overall, I was quite impressed with my experience. The restaurant boasts a cozy atmosphere, with stylish decor that transports you to Turkey. The service was excellent, with friendly staff who were attentive and made sure my dining experience was enjoyable.
Now, let's talk about the food. I decided to try their breakfast menu, and while it was quite pricey, it was definitely worth it. The standout dish for me was the traditional Turkish breakfast platter, which was a combination of various cheeses, olives, honey, and bread. It was a delightful feast for the senses and left me feeling satisfied and happy.
However, there were a couple of downsides to my experience that prevented me from giving MADO a perfect rating. Firstly, the prices were quite steep, which may not be affordable for everyone. Additionally, the portion sizes were on the smaller side, so I didn't feel like I got as much food as I would have liked for the price I paid.
Overall, I would highly recommend MADO to anyone who's looking for a unique dining experience in the Pearl. The food is delicious, the service is great, and the atmosphere is cozy and inviting. Just be prepared to spend a little more money than you would at other breakfast spots in the area. I give it a solid 4...
