The Village Grill — Restaurant in Doha

We had lunch there on 7 Dec. Very bad experience. The food took a very long. Time to be served. Frankly the food was very poor quality. Too much salt in the grills and curries.The time taken for serving wax awfully long. It took us more than two& half hours to complete the lunch. We were the only customers in the restaurant. In the beginning the staff told us that we could use entertainer. Finally when the bill came we got a discount of of only QR 113 out of a bill of 700+ . ( For 2 entertained coupons??) What can I call this?....Clear case of bad service / awful food & overcharging. Well ... probably our last experience in...

We went for Iftar and ordered the set menu, trying both the Iranian and Indian menus. The main courses (grills) were really good, very moist and succulent. The appetizers and soups ranged from average to good. The desserts were ok.

The set menu covered everything: water, soft drink, soup, cold and hot appetizers, salads, main course, and desert with Arabic coffee.

They gave us homemade fruit yoghurt drink which was really delicious.

The service was a bit unorganized and food wasn't served in the correct order.

It was really dark outside though, they need more lighting.

Overall, a really enjoyable experience...

It was nice atmosphere for sure, good quality persian food but not the best in Doha. I see it a bit overpriced n less value for the money than average restaurants. The location is so hard to find as it is in the first floor of the building. We tried couple stews n we noticed the meet is v limited in there for the money we pais which is 85 per stew n rice. I believe they need to be more generous to attract customers. Although the food was tasty n the restaurant is so nice, calm n great...
