I've been coming to The Breakfast Club for 6 years now. Up till a couple of years ago I would have rated it an easy. 5 stars but not it's just not the same and they've falled to a 3 (leaning towards a 2).
FOOD:
The food is decent but for the prices it's definitely not worth it. I've tried:
(1) Malibu Burger (2/5): an absolutely mid burger, not very crispy or special.
(2) 2011 Burger (1/5): extremely overrated. It's an unseasoned single patty beef smash burger basically.
(3) Brisket Sandwich (3/5): I've had this almost 20 times now over the years and I will say it used to be my all time favorite. I loved it. But now there barely any brisket in the sandwich yet the price just keeps up. Now I find the sandwich disappointing.
(4) Belgian French Toast (4/5): A pretty nice french toast with a good portion size and overall taste. It is very very sweet though.
Other items: I've tried some othe items and it's the same issues. They're usually a bit bland, nothing crazy or special, and the portion sizes have just been getting smaller and smaller.
BUY1GET1 (Entertainer, Urban point, MyBook) Policy:
so they have B1G1 vouchers for deserts (desert to desert) and the other "Main Menu Item" voucher on Entertainer ONLY applies to the "Lunch and Dinner" category or the "All day Breakfast" category of the menu. So sandwiches (like the brisket sandwich) are not included. And you can't get one breakfast item and one lunch & dinner item. It has to be 2 from the same category. This was a pretty bad experience honestly. They had no clue about what the rules of the voucher was and were just making stuff up as they went on. It's also a bit stupid as if you've put your restaurant on these apps don't add these stupid rules that no one can know before hand. Other than that the servers were fine. The bad policies aren't their fault anyways.
Overall, the experience was aight. The outdoor siting area is great especially with good weather. Food is mid level and service is mid level. I personally, will not be going back despite being a regular customer for many years as there are plenty of new places with nicer food, atmosphere, and overall dining...
Read moreThe Breakfast Club, located at Qanat Quartier, offers a convenient parking option both outside and inside the building. Access to the restaurant involves crossing a bridge, and there's a lift for those with mobility challenges or baby strollers. Weekdays tend to be less crowded, with more customers arriving just before lunchtime. You have the choice to sit outside.
The food we ordered, including egg benedict, guacroyal, and club sandwich, had some notable highlights. The hollandaise sauce on the egg benedict was particularly delicious, as was the mashed avocado on the guacroyal. The strawberry jam within the club sandwich was a pleasant surprise. However, it's worth noting that the mocha might not be the best choice, but the other coffee options are good. One of the standout dishes is the Mars n Mellow, which happens to be a personal favorite. This delightful treat features French toast served with chocolate, marshmallow and ice cream. Unfortunately, during this visit, I was too full to order it, but it's certainly a must-try option for anyone with a sweet tooth and a love for indulgent breakfast delights.
Overall, The Breakfast Club at Qanat Quartier seems to be a nice spot for breakfast or brunch with some tasty menu items and a serene atmosphere, especially...
Read moreThis was the absolute worst experience I had with my family. We got a table ordered food and the waiter confirmed the order with us. 20 minutes go by so we called our waiter to just let us know how long till we get our food and he ignored us. We tried to get the waiters attention several more times and he still ignored. Then we tried to get the attention of another waiter who also ignored us.
30 - 40 minutes go by and the waiter comes back to CONFIRM what we ordered! So they haven’t even started making the food at this point we were ready to leave then the manager came and asked us to stay and confirm what we ordered assuring us the food will be out soon.
15 more minutes go by and they bring us the wrong food AFTER we already confirmed our order TWICE. At this point I were so hungry I would’ve eaten whatever they brought but they promised to bring us the correct dish which took another 10 minutes.
Finally the food was here and it was a HUGE disappointment. Everything was cold and lacked all flavor the only dish that I liked was the waffle and chicken plus the cold coffee the rest was horrible.
This restaurant ruined our whole morning and we hope we never have to come here ever again. If only negative stars...
