Cartofisserie — Restaurant in Bucharest

The food is nothing interesting vs. the price, 29ron (~ 6€, 7$) for a portion of 3 chicken strips which are almost like nuggets and 3 "wings", making the 6 pieces of chicken in the "GOURMAND" menu option, which tasted decent, similar to KFC. The piece of resistance, the fried potatoes, although you can see they are "fresh" and not frozen (not 100% sure about that), they don't really have any taste, luckily they salt them which makes them edible. So overall the meal was decent tasting, but it did not sit well with me and gave me stomach problems... so I am not going to try it again...

Just got some combo today and they were terrible. Most likely old. The cheese pockets were so hard. Plus the cashier was stupid. I asked her if the cocktail sauce was spicy just to make sure it's not. She pointed out that it had "spices" in it. Spices and spicy are 2 different things, and told her that in Romanian. She flipped the menu and said I can read in Romanian. So she believed that I didn't understand what spices is and I was wrong. Just because she doesn't know basic English??? Wow. How insulting. Train your dummies basic English. Plus it was expensive. About $16...

This was the most standard place we went to. Prices were good and food was pretty good. I think it's hard to get fries wrong but they were fried to order and nicely salted. They give an array of sauce options but you do need to pay an additional 5lei per sauce- unsure if this is standard in Romania. Staff were quite rude but we found that in a few places we ate throughout Bucharest so unsure if it's just the way I perceived the service. The restaurant has very limited seating upstairs and it can be very hot due to the fryers and hot air rising but it was never packed...
