Giving one star just because of one employee (the blonde girl in charge with the playlist) which treated us extremely disrespectful. We were a group of 4 people, asked for a song for each person to sing because we were told that we are not allowed to ask for more (although there were other people singing over and over again). One of the requested songs was never played and we waited extremely long for the other songs to be played, although there were just few people left. She was pushing our songs to the end of the playlist because she wanted to sing herself numerous songs and then a few friends of her that were asking to play as well numerous times. We politely asked how much till the next song and she said 3 more songs left and then of course she and her friends sang again about 10 songs, because maybe she thought we were drunk and wouldn't notice, but too bad for her, we did notice. We confronted her and she got angry, being rude to us. She absolutely shouldn't be there working with people, better get a job as a singer somewere else and deal with her frustrations. People come to Mojo to sing and have fun, not to hear her singing all night long. Otherwise the atmosphere is nice and people have fun, the other...
Read moreFirst and last time I go to Mojo. We wanted to watch Romania-Belgium last night, and we made a reservation in advance. On one hand, it has been confirmed to us that the karaoke won’t have an impact, which was rubbish, as during the game we could hear how people sing upstairs. I can understand that you are a karaoke theme based place, but don’t mislead your customers. It is rude and unprofessional. Secondly, we asked to pay the check by card and we realized that additional beers have been added. What kind of place and staff does that…? Not to mention it was impossible to breathe inside, the AC was not working. Anyway, the overall experience was dissappointing, I won’t return or recommed. Also, as a recommendation for Mojo owners, take this feedback as it is, just a feedback, and make sure you take the necessary measures. I used to know Mojo as one of the best places, and currently… it is just a random place, with poor service which no longer inspire...
Read moreUnsafe for large groups / Stag dos.
Booked a table for 20 Brits on a stag do, and they placed us right next to the stage. As the night went on, we got louder and danced on stage – typical for a stag. The bouncers decided to kick us out – fair enough, we might have been annoying.
Whilst kicking us out, Security turned excessively aggressive, and began assaulting our group – shoving quickly escalated to physically punching and kicking our group down the stairs (Not a single punch was thrown back from us). We’ve got all of this on video, it’s disgusting.
Two of our group ended up in the hospital, with the stag needing stitches for a head injury.
Once outside, while we were trying to help our injured friends, the security continually pepper-sprayed us. Thugs just looking to hurt people on their power trip.
There are plenty of other friendly bars in Old Town that welcomed and encouraged our group with no issues.
AVOID MOJOS....
