This was our second time at Subura Bistro and we were again pleasantly surprised by the service, ambience and food. The drinks are prepared with great care and tasted excellent. The two gentlemen in the restaurant put an incredible amount of effort into every step.

It's important to mention the time factor if you want to visit this lovely restaurant, as it takes a little while to prepare the dishes, because there are only two of them. However, I don't think this is a bad thing at all, as I know how much love goes into preparing the food. All I can say about the food is that it is incredibly good and of very high quality. The price component also plays a role, of course. If you want to eat a little more here (starter, several drinks, main course, etc.), then it's definitely not cheap. Nevertheless, the price for this experience is definitely worth it to me.

To summarise, I think it's a shame that the restaurant doesn't have an endless stream of customers, as the quality of the staff and the food is spectacular. As always, it was a pleasure to spend our evening here and we are definitely looking forward to...

We chose this wonderful Italian restaurant mainly with the kids in mind. We were a group of nine six adults and three children. I figured pizza would be the perfect choice for the kids, something fun and familiar.

The restaurant is located in the Old Town, just about 100 meters from our hotel an easy walk. The owner is such a lovely man an older gentleman who truly hosts with warmth and care. Although the place was full when we arrived, he went out of his way, moving chairs and making space for us with a smile.

The pizzas were incredible. delicious homemade dough, high quality cheese, and rich flavors. We ordered a vegetarian pizza full of fresh vegetables and a sausage pizza that was full of flavor. Both were amazing. We also had a Caprese salad and a local salad, and the drinks were refreshing.

But more than the food, I was impressed by the kindness and attitude of both the owner and his waiter (just the two of them run the place!). It was so good that we...

I don't understand how this place is rated 4.9. We ordered a capresse salad (ok) and a Contadina pizza (which is supposed to have +100g of a mix of prosciutto, salami and mortadela). When it arrived, it only had less than 50g of chopped unrecognizable ingredients. The manager said it was the correct preparation. There are nights in which you just don't want to be arguing. It was OK for the paid price but not what's advertised and shown in pictures. I wouldn't recommend it if you are really looking for a good quality pizza. The overall...

One of the best pizzerias I’ve ever been to. Period. The pizza is made right in front of you, with real ingredients – not the fake, mass-produced stuff you find everywhere. You can feel the quality. The place is spotless, and the staff? Incredibly friendly. You don’t just eat here – you enjoy the whole process. Rarely have I felt gorgonzola this perfectly balanced: creamy, bold, real. You taste the craft in every slice. If you love pizza and respect authentic flavor, this place is not just a recommendation – it’s a must.

A hidden gem in the city centre. So far the best restaurant we’ve been in Bucarest. Everything is made fresh when you order it. The owner is an amazing chef. He handles everything by himself and what a joy it is to see him work. He is so detailed and focused, also incredibly thoughtful of cleanliness. Be just a little patient with the time, I promise it will be worth it. We had carbonara pasta and lasagna and both were delightful. Truly a 10/10 place. Do give it a try.
