Stadio Unirii — Restaurant in Bucharest

This is definitely my favourite place to eat in Bucharest. And this is not just because of the food, but because of the atmosphere (brilliant decor, lighting, attention to details and very good music) and the excellent staff (they are extremely well trained, very polite, attentive and fast). I like to go here no matter the time of day: for breakfast (you should try their Fritattone), brunch, lunch or dinner. They have a very divers menu, something for every taste, whether you are a meat lover or a vegetarian. I really love and wholeheartedly recommend their Social 1 Burger with fries on the side (they are truly home made), Beef Salad and Panko crusted Camembert. For desert my favourite is the Apple pie (the creme anglaise is just brilliant!). They also have some special, original drinks in their menu currently that you should try. It is a perfect place to go out with your partner or a couple of friends. But it is still a sort of classy restaurant, so please do not use it for hanging out loudly with friends, it could ruin the atmosphere for everyone else. Rude waiters but lovely waitresses (Denisa is quick to help and polite). Grumpy front of house saying fine you can have menus (there were always plenty) to keep cool in their poorly air conditioned overpriced cafe. Looked at us like dirt until we ordered food but then we were there for hours. One dirty toilet. Then a waiter nicked the menus, even when we were about to use them for their actual purpose. We could've overlooked this if it wasn't for Alin refusing to let us split the bill and saying "fine, don't pay then, I don't care if you do or not." We were hot and tired too, no need to take your stress out on your customers. Simply say sorry we can't do that. But why not? We came and after being seated the waiter just threw us the menu and disappeared. We called a waiter but were ignored and shortly after another waiter came. They have lunch offer and the ad outside the restaurant says it runs from 12-3pm. We came at 2:45pm and when we asked for the lunch offer menu, the waiter was either just lazy to explain the lunch offer or just plainly didn’t want to serve us at all and said the lunch offer is over! On the way out we asked another waiter who clarified that yes the lunch offer was still on and gave us the lunch menu so clearly something is very wrong with the previous waiter. I’m Asian with my Romanian boyfriend but even so, all the menu are in Romanian so if you’re not Romanian just forget it! The waiters are unfriendly and won’t help you and in fact even ignore you.
