Hello everybody! I would like to tell you a few things about Izvor Park. Izvor Park is situated very near to Dâmboviţa River that crosses Bucharest. This park is quite large and it offers a little bit of shade in the hot summer days. Either you choose to sit on a wooden bank or sit on the grass under a tree, or you can always take a long stroll on its paved alleys, it's your choice. There is a large playground for kids and also a small fenced area for your dog where he can play with his mates. Opposite to Dâmboviţa River you can admire The House of Parliament or as it is better known by Romanians and not only, The People's House. It's quite an imposing building! You should check it out. At one side of the park you can find a few small shops where you can buy some pastry and refreshments. Read moreI would not make the mistake of calling it a park. A park should have some trees. This thing is basically a green patch with some poorly kept grass and weeds and basically the only thing it has to offer is aa. .wait.. there must be something. Ah, yeah:
special dog-spaces, because in Bucharest dogs are vermin, hence you can only have one at home (but having a cow in your yard in the middle of Bucharest can be the envy of your entire street).
a lot of grass and other weeds
public toilets (which are not as common as one would expect)
it's close to the metro and some horrid communist buildings; don't worry, you'll notice those.
