Slow service which seemed to border on intentional negligence. We were VERY patient from start to end but MY GOD was it painful. It started with being seated in the courtyard (our request) for about 30min without being acknowledged. We moved ourselves into the main dining area with the concurrence of the staff thinking it would spur on the meal. Moving only tangentially helped because the density of restaurant employees increased but certainly not because anyone wanted to serve us. After many attempts, we were able to grab the attention of a waitress that was able to facilitate another waitress to finally take our order. That’s when we ordered a bottle of chardonnay which resulted in a bottle of cab-sav instead.. close enough I suppose. Asked for water and this was acknowledged but never brought to the table. It was like pulling teeth to even make eye contact with anyone who might be able to provide us with a semblance of attention. At one point I had considered going to the restroom and checking if I had a reflection…. Maybe I’m just in some weird Romanian dining purgatory. Full disclosure, it seemed like a busy Tuesday. Several large groups/ celebrations were ongoing and I can appreciate that. On the bright side.. we watched the table next to us go through 3 full seatings before we were able to eat which translates to plenty of people watching opportunities. We did eventually get food and it was actually really good. Pork Ribs, the “bean soup” and the sarmale were delicious. Which almost made up for the hilariously poor service. Naturally, I wouldn’t come back.. but if you want to feel like a second class citizen or role play the ghost of Romanian’s dinner past.. this is the place. I’d skip this location and go to another restaurant that is owned by this larger group

Really nice experience here. This place is almost all the time full of customers. The staff is friendly, the atmosphere is pleasant, the food is good, the prices are medium range. The restaurant has also an outside terrace opened in the warm seasons. It is sorrounded by a high fence making it private from the pedestrian view passing by. They serve a large variety of dishes: from aperitifs, soups, stakes, many garnishes to dessert. It is a vegetarian friendly restaurant. The meal size is quite generous. You can organize events here or reserve tables in advance. This restaurant is suitable also for families with small children. The kids from the nearby table received from the restaurant coloured crayons and colouring paper sheets from a book in order to have something to play with till the order is ready. From the menu I reccomend the beef soup. It is delicious. Same for the dessert. This restaurant is not quite easily accessible for someone in wheelchair but the staff could help when is the case. The restrooms could be cleaner. I noticed a really high position of the toilet that makes it difficult to be used even for high ladies. A child would need some help from a parent to use it.

WARNING FOR ANYONE WITH DIETARY RESTRICTIONS AND NON-ROMANIANS!!

This restaurant was very loud (pub vibe), was looking forward to the food but unfortunately didn’t live up to expectations at all.

The menu has clear allergens marked, but the food doesn’t comply with allergens.

I ordered the fish dish with potatoes, and waited close to an hour for it. When it arrived, the fillets had been deep fried in some sort of batter. Staff speak limited English so two people told us that it was gluten-free but the third person said it wasn’t after checking with the chef. (Sous chef thought it was gluten free but not the head chef). Felt scary to eat anything there after this experience so I decided to go somewhere else.

I said I would just eat the potatoes on the side, they brought out new mashed potatoes for me but I was charged extra for that.

I had made eye contact with the staff multiple times even called out to them and every time they said ‘one second’ no one came for another 10 minutes and had to ask again…..

It was overall very stressful and they made the point that we shouldn’t expect them to speak English as it’s Romania. I wish they made that clear on the door so we didn’t enter. (Every other place we have been to has been friendly staff, great English and clear understanding of food safety). They have to change the menu, I’m not sure about Romania but in my country it’s illegal to put false allergens on the menu. It’s...
