Ketch Up Burgers — Restaurant in Литейный округ

This is a relatively small Russian chain of burger restaurants, which franchises the opening of new venues in key locations. The one I went to was quite an experience: customised live dj set, design menus, and screens on the walls which were projecting relaxing images - - not the kind of thing that annoys you throughout the dinner. The staff was nice and friendly, mostly made up of tattooed dudes who match the street style of this venue. All the guys were very friendly and efficient. One of them spoke very good English.

The overall feeling is "more American than America", yet I was able to try some things that are very Russian, like a selection of sauces and garnish, handmade burgers, Russia rye buns and the obligatory icy lemonade with pineapple, orange, rocket leaves and a...

First time there I had the steak tartare, which was pretty good. Second time I had the famous burger with Foie Gras and Fresh Raspberry. Interesting combination, but the fact is that there is way too much stuff happening there. Many sauces, vegetables, you can't taste each thing separately because of it. Also, the burger itself should be the star and it was very thin and overcooked. If they added less stuff to the burger and had thick rare meat in the burger, could be a spectacular place. Instead...

Персонал умудряется быть жутко приветливым и безразличным одновременно. Встретили хорошо, с порога предложили места. На мой вопрос "А этот столик свободен?", получили ответ не очень вежливое "я же вам уже говорила какие столики свободны". Довольно тесное помещение, столы стоят слишком близко. В воскресенье лучше не ходить. Заказ приняли очень быстро, принесли тоже. Вкус обалденный! Брали фирменный и с сыром бри. Очень нежное мясо и булочка румяная. Попробовали лимонад, очень много льда. Вкусно, но льда прям больше чем самого лимонада. После просьбы рассчитать получили чек и 20 минут ждали пока хоть кто-нибудь обратит на нас внимание. Для меня это был первый раз когда абсолютно перехотелось оставлять чаевые. Мы никуда не торопились, но в итоге все же сдались и пришлось самим просить нас рассчитать. Может у вас так принято, мы же с этим столкнулись впервые. Знали бы сразу что персонал не следит за расчетом - попросили бы сразу. Сидеть за пустым столом и ждать расчет в течение 20 минут при том что персонал ходит мимо и ничем не занят нам очень не понравилось.
