Love..love ..love the front desk staffs : Olga and her trainees, and Salan. They helped directing the taxi driver to go around places we wanted to go i.e the tourist spots and ballet performance. Even they offered the help to get taxi, by just calling them, and they will order taxi to fetch us in an appointed post. It broke the communication barrier with the taxi driver, as well as ensuring I could get taxi. After bad experience with taxi from the airport in Moscow who charged me 5 times the usual fare.... the gesture from these follows really cured my hurt feeling... and change my perspective about Russia in general. ||||The staff always greeted me with smile and waving me, whenever I passed front office - I experienced only in this hotel. In cold rainy weather, small thing that could really cheer us up, given that we are travelling long way to Russia.||||The room is good, clean, and off course very unique. We thought that we might wrongly choose hotel, because it has mural painting in the walls, having Japanesse animation figures, very youthful theme of which we had perception the hotel is for young people, and we might be out of place.... but apparently the guests are mix of older and young people, office workers and tourists like us. So we feel fine, and even enjoyed the unique design of the hotel. The glass window is spread from side to top - give funny but delightful experience. Oh ya... the clock on the TV (a girl painting the numbers to indicate time... is creative, made us laughing too).||Apparently each floor has different animation theme. We were in second floor, and it has Japanesse Theme of wall mural design. ||||The dining room is really comfy. The design is like those older days kitchen, very warm feeling. The foods are also good, essential basics are there. The staff there (a tall young man) always stand by, very observant and quickly remove dirty utensils once we finished having something.||||Location wise - not very far from city center. We tried slow walk from city center, and its fine. There is also bus stop close by, metro station is within 15 minutes slow walk (mind that we are 60 years old couple, probably its half the time for young people).||Many supermarkets, cafes and restaurants are within vicinity - good options to get something to eat/drink or to just relax. ||||I will definitely come back if I visit the town, I will also recommend others...

A very nice cozy place to stay in. A laid-back atmosphere, professional and carrying staff. I was pleased to be here. ||||First of all, I particularly liked the individual accommodations they allowed upon my request: I asked for a yoga mat and steam iron into my room for the period of my stay. Although they do have a gym on the 4rth floor and a place where guests can iron, I wanted to have those items in my room to myself and they gave them to me, which I appreciate. ||||Second, I liked how they handled a problem I had. For the period of my stay, which was 20 days, one time I had some air conditioning issue (water was leaking from it). I called a receptionist (they are 24/7) and they addressed it immediately; in 1 min a person who fixes things knocked on my door with his tools and repaired it quickly.||||Next, the kitchen is good, however, they do not have a lot of vegetarian options, so if you are a vegetarian or vegan prepare to buy soy, almond, or other non-milk from a grocery store nearby (EcoFamily or ВкусВилл) and keep it in the refrigerator in your room or shop for vegetarian restaurant options nearby. ||||Lastly, to show your appreciation for the service you need to carry cash because they do not have the option to include tips for the service when paying credit or debit cards. No ATM in the hotel also. ||||Overall, I enjoyed the stay. They do make you feel special and treat you like a family. And I do hope when I visit them next time they will expand their vegetarian options.||||Thank you for...

Гостиница Red Star Был впечатлён уже в первые минуты посещения гостиницы. По свежим ощущениям, напишу по-порядку: Во-первых, суперсовременный отель, вписанный в два старых здания типичной питерской архитектуры, выглядит, как портал Ключников из "Спектра" Лукьяненко. Впечатляет. Во-вторых, холл и рецепшен, выполненные в футуристическом неодизайне, сразу настраивает на торжественный лад и поднимает настроение. Ладно, дальше без числительных :-) Девушка на рецепшен улыбается. Причём не профессиональной улыбкой, а по-доброму, сразу чувствуешь домашний уют. Лифт новый, удобный и современный. Номер очень просторный для своей цены - заплатил три с небольшим тысячи, что для конца августа в приличной гостинице не так уж и много. В номере чувствуется внимание к гостю, просто во всём - как знают все, "дьявол кроется в мелочах". Мелочей, подчёркивающих внимание к гостю, очень много. В ванной комнате: шампунь, гель для душа, кондиционер для волос, Body lotion - не знаю что такое, наверное что-то для тела :-), одноразовая расчёска, щётка(щётку не назвать одноразовой), зубная паста, шапочка для душа, ватка для снятия макияжа (по-моему "спунжики" называется, не пользуюсь, но приятно :-). Всё равно плюсик). Палочки для гигиены ушей, пилка (!) для ногтей. В шкафу двенадцать вешалок для одежды, две для брюк. Скажете, ерунда? А меня бесит, когда приедешь на два дня, возьмёшь одежду на любую погоду, а в шкафу - две вешалки. Остальное всё как везде - холодильник, сейф, большой телевизор. Ванная комната - отдельное впечатление. Дворец. Сантехника новая, работает безупречно. Вода и горячая и холодная, сильный напор. Краны горячей и холодной не перепутаны, как обычно, местами :-). В душе интересная подсветка - включите душ, вставьте в стойку, получатся красивые жемчужные нитки, минут пять любовался). По-моему, строители не планировали, что так должно получиться, но здорово. Я всё это пишу так подробно, чтобы возникло ощущение места. Дело в том, что во многих гостиницах, готов поклясться, владелец не жил в номере. Как-то жил в люксе недешевой московской гостиницы, был поражён тем, как можно, вгрохав в интерьер столько денег, создать столь неудобный пользовательский интерфейс. Огромный дорогой телевизор расположен так, что его не видно ни с кресла, ни с дивана. В душе нет занавески, только стильный стеклянный экран. Как аккуратно не мойся, вся вода оказывается на полу. Возле зеркала один светильник, невозможно нормально побриться (мужчины меня поймут) Левая половина в тени, кое-как побрился наощупь. А здесь всё, всё для людей! Ставлю "пять", поставил бы "пять с плюсом", если б система позволяла. Утром прогулялся - тихий район, кругом скверики,...
