Chef — Restaurant in Dorogomilovo District

Seen a lot of contradictory reviwes so I decided to see this place and try it. So there it is:

I called for booking a table. The woman speaking with me could not understand english. Sure, she speaks russian and I was in luck to have around me russian people that helped me with the booking. But careful at that: they don't speak english. Arrived there and one of the hostess took me to a table way back in the restaurant. I asked for a table near the window since I wear glasses and it's more confortable to have some sunlight. She politely invited me there and I understood the place was actualy empty on a saturday afternoon. Ordering lunch itself did not went that smoothly at all: first of all most of the waiters are from Azerbaidjan, which means not only that they don't speak english, but they will not even speak russian. So.. be very careful to have some turkish speaking person on your table. Why? Because a turkish speaking person will be able to make them convince that they should provide a good service. Otherwise.. you'll have a real problem with the service. As it is very hard to have a turkish speaking person on the table.. probably you'll end up with a miserable service. The food: food was not bad, but was definately not what is should have been. There are shaworma place in Moscow providing a 10 times better food then this place. But they are not on Kutuzovsky 🙃 We had tea, not great We had shisha... it was complete rubbish We had kebabs and sweets... nothing special at all. We had also red wine.. it was good, but the price was astronomical. And be careful: they have huge wine list with epic prices. It's a full mass scam. Price: a meal here for 2 persons with a bottle of wine, tea, water, desserts, shisha and some food costs us 500USD. The pluses: good atmosphere, good position, confortable chair. Conclusions: never go here unless you want to starve and, in the same time, go bankrupt. Food is just not worth it and alcohool prices will...

Really expensive, and stuff added to our order... So the place was packed when we went a few weeks ago. Food was pretty good -- mostly a combination of salads and steaks (actually, steaks were above average). Our waiter had a good sense of humor and everyone was very kind to our baby.

But... the price for three of us was simply enormous -- around 25,000 rubles. Very little alcohol -- maybe 2 glasses of wine and a cocktail. We ordered one salad and the waiter arrived with two, saying one wasn't enough for three people. We assumed that if he added something to our order without asking, it would be free. No, sir, it was not! Something like 1400 rubles! I guess it's our fault for not asking at the time. But that and the outrageous cost means we...

Very unprofessional and poor service. We ordered food for three with accompanying sidedishes like sallad, fries and bread. They came in with the sallad, bread and a bottle of water but no glasses, after 10 min they came in with the pommes and after about 40 minutes they came in with a dish of 2 that we had ordered. After 50 minutes when we still have not received our food, we complain and they say everyone orders food right now and it is delayed so we decide to leave the restaurant.
