I very interesting statue on Moscow. Not easy to find if your just wandering around. Look for the british embassy building to locate the statue. Interesting to see. And the river is right across offering amazing views.

Давно хотела добраться к этому памятнику, но все ни как не получалось. Очень удачно подобранный образ для памятника: задумчивый Холмс и ожидающий его ответа Ватсон. Интересно и место расположения: рядом с Британским посольством😃 Если вы сядите на сакамейку рядом с Ватсон и положите руку на его записную книжку, далее поднимитесь и смотря на Ватсона произнесете: "Элементарно, Ватсон!" Все ваши проблемы решаться)))))) Трубку Холмса трогать нельзя ни при каких условиях.

Открыли памятник относительно недавно - в апреле 2007-го года. Открытие приурочили к значимому юбилею - 120-летию выхода повести "Этюд в багровых тонах".Автор московской композиции скульптор Андрей Орлов в качестве ориентира, похоже, взял образы, созданные Сидни Пэджетом - художником, иллюстрировавшим рассказы Артура Конан Дойла о Холмсе для журнала "Стрэнд" в 19-м веке.  В облике бронзовых викторианских джентльменов вполне угадываются черты "отечественных" Холмса и Ватсона - актеров Василия Ливанова и...
