Matryoshka Restaurant — Restaurant in Dorogomilovo District

We had popped in for a dessert after having dinner at White Rabbit. The place is alongside the river, on the central avenue called Kutizovski Prospekt with the beautiful view on a White House. All the desserts we have had were delicious. Very good service. The only thing, the waiter refused to accept the credit card. When he received the cash he brought the rest after 20 minutes and with 10% of his tips already deducted. That type of behavior is not correct for the restaurant of high level Matryoshka is. The waiter was very friendly and helpful. He offered to speak to us in English when he realised we were foreigners. He also made very good recommendations of what dishes to order. Serving of the food was timed just right so we did not have to struggle with our food. Very authentic Russian food and we really enjoyed them. Ресторан «Матрешка» от Maison Dellos расположен в престижной локации на первой линии Конгресс-парка Radisson Royal, с панорамным видом на набережную Тараса Шевченко, Москву-реку и здание Правительства РФ.  Заведение находится в окружении пяти других ресторанов премиум-класса, принадлежащих известным рестораторам, и расположено непосредственно напротив Radisson Collection Hotel (ранее «Украина»). Если судить по оформлению зала, то этот ресторан русской кухни находится где-то в эмиграции, в далёком Лондоне или Париже. Но так как кухня не классическая, а авторская, всё достаточно гармонично сочетается. Большой светлый зал на первом этаже с широкой лестницей на минус первый этаж, там — второй зал, он более уютный и камерный. Представленное меню, хотя и небольшое, но его вполне достаточно для ознакомления туристов и гостей с русской кухней. Некоторые позиции меню заслуживают особого внимания благодаря своей оригинальности. Стоит отметить удачный выбор завтраков и выгодную систему скидок в будние дни до обеда. Обслуживание было вполне профессиональным: своевременная подача блюд по рекомендации, замена приборов, уборка использованной посуды и доливание напитков осуществлялись оперативно и ненавязчиво.
