AQ Kitchen — Restaurant in Tverskoy District

The food is good (not quite as delicious as you'd expect though) and the presentation is beautiful and exciting. The service - not so good, unfortunately. Our table wasn't ready when we arrived, the substitute not ready either, we had to take some initiative in order to find a comfortable enough place for our company of five, which wasn't easy at all. There are way too many of too small tables, tightly packed in order to seat more people, which is neither nice nor expected from the place that is positioning itself as a pretty high level restaurant. Their pricing definitely suggestes that, and all in all, the price-performance ratio is negative. By the way, it is absolutely unacceptable when main dishes aren't served simultaneously to everyone at the table. Half of us were finished before the others were served! P.S. Oh, and please, AQ kitchen, be so kind to instruct your waiters that when people are toasting it's not the best time to ask questions and...

The food was good, the interior was nice. But we were kinda shocked by the staff: the butler at the entrance kept commenting on everything not in a nice manner and the waiter wasn’t very well aware of the dishes and drinks as well as he tried to fool us with the bill either because he didn’t want to deal with the remained amount from our deposit or he just wanted to cheat on us. He said that our deposit was over but when we asked for the bill he first avoided to say the exact remained amount and when we realized how much it was he didn’t even bother himself to find a solution for that. The food was excellent. However one sticking point, our friends requested water, which when served was not cold, and one of them requested some ice. Upon returning the waiter said, “I’m sorry, we don’t have any more ice” which was a blatant lie because then minutes later, two more cocktails were served on the table and both glasses were full to the brim with ice. So then the waiter says, “oh you can only have ice if you order a cocktail.” Basically it soured the mood. Why be stingy with ice?
