Khachapuri — Restaurant in Tverskoy District

This was my first time having Georgian food and I do not regret it.

I recommend starting by ordering appetizers, particularly their dumplings filled with meat, and of course the Khachapuri which is basically a Georgian style pizza with an egg inside. For the main courses, they have really good options including shashlik and a range of salads, seafood and vegetables. I recommend ordering at least the mixed grill which includes a sampling of different meats including lamb, pork and beef. The taste was good, although the lamb was a little dry. They provide Georgian salt with the dishes which is a nice little touch.

Service is very friendly and our waitress spoke English, which makes things a lot easier for tourists. They also have English menu's. This place gets packed so make a reservation beforehand, especially around dinner time. The restaurant is centrally located in Moscow and easily accessible.

Will definitely visit again...

The salad and the Khinkali were amazing, I was however way less impressed by the Khachapuri. It seems however, at least by reading several of the reviews posted here over the years, that the quality of both the food and the service has been declining over the years. The place didn’t really match our expectations, as it’s not the exceptional Georgian restaurant many reviews of 5-7 years ago have been portraying this restaurant, which is nothing short but just an average Georgian restaurant. There are way better options in Moscow. In conclusion, still decent food, while both the service, quite rude and abrupt, and the atmosphere could be greatly improved, starting from hiring some English speaking people. The worst hachapuri and experience I've had in a while. The hachapuri was far from fresh and left a long bitter/metallic aftertaste which made it barely edible. It was bad, but how the management handled it was worse. When I let the waiter know that I didn't like the hachapuri in the slightest (I didn't blame anyone nor did I present my feedback with any arrogance, just told them that I didn't like it) the manager appeared and instead of apologizing she started repeatedly telling me that they have tried it and it's ok trying to prove me that I'm wrong.
