Milani Cafè & Cakes — Restaurant in Upolu

Popped for lunch on a whim and were immediately met with a friendly greeting even though it was moderately busy.

Service was impeccable- including bring a copy of the day’s paper over. And the food was superb- even before we’d managed to make a choice from the mouthwatering sweets cabinet. Milan Bagel was delicious- even after toasting (not sure if that was necessary but perhaps that’s a common preference here) and the Niçoise Salad was superb. Packed with plenty of all of the ingredients and a tangy dressing it was so plentiful I had to take half of it away for later.

We also grabbed a couple of cupcakes to go- the tiramisu and Coconut & Pineapple cake we decided to rain check until a subsequent dinner at their other venue, Paddles- and they did nit disappoint.

Milani might not look anything special from the outside but definitely worth a visit for...

Went here to mainly try their pineapple coconut cake which receives great reviews Had coffee and breakfast plus cake Great service friendly staff clean as premises smells yum coffee was good ( when your a black coffee drinker need something a little stronger and was more expensive than the roasters) Had scrambled egg and salmon croissant was yum and breakfast wrap which was great and yes the pineapple coconut cake lived up to its hype was asked if we wanted 2 said no but should off as this was light and moist tasty cream cheese icing not too sweet so balanced the whole generous slice definitely worth a second third and fourth visit The whole cabinet looked delicious hard to stop at a piece of cake something for everyone here and easy to get to being right...

Before our little tiki tour of the island, we had to go try the viral and famous Coconut & Pineapple Slice at Milani Cafè & Cakes. My expectations were exceeded because it was the best cake slice I've had in my life, creamy, coconuty and pineappley; it was amazingly decadent. Also ordered a Koko Samoa Frappe, some Minty Mango smoothies (one with and without mint) and a vegan poke bowl, all delicious and exceptional. Inside it was clean and inviting, and it took only seconds to be greeted by wait staff as we entered, they were extremely helpful and friendly.
