7 Ribs — Restaurant in Al Maathar Municipality

I was eager to try this well-known local brand, reputed for offering quality BBQ meats at a premium. Unfortunately, the initial impression fell short of expectations. Upon arrival, no one greeted or seated us, which is typically standard at higher-end establishments. We later learned from one of the friendly and apologetic waiters (an African gentleman) that the manager—who was supposed to be at the host stand—was not at his post. It made for an awkward start, especially after seeing him casually chatting with colleagues from a neighboring restaurant while we as guests stood unattended.

Oddly enough, when he did eventually stop by our table and I mentioned the food was good but that there had been an earlier issue we could discuss after the meal, he showed little interest or concern. He never returned to follow up or address the matter. Such dismissiveness is disappointing, particularly at a venue positioning itself as a premium dining destination.

On the bright side, the food was well-prepared and flavorful. The steak was cooked to a perfect medium, the brisket tacos were tasty—although the brisket itself was slightly dry—and the brisket fries followed suit. Onion rings were delicious but a touch too oily. The mojito was excellent. The smash burger was equally fantastic.

However, portions felt small considering the high price point, and the waiter assigned to our table (an Indian gentleman) seemed to be in a rush when taking our order and clearing the table, which made us feel somewhat unwelcome.

At this price level, hospitality should be just as important as the food. While the dishes mostly delivered in quality, the overall guest experience did not meet the standard one would expect. My recent visit to 7 Ribs was nothing short of extraordinary, and it was largely due to the impeccable service provided by our waiter, Paul. From the moment we stepped through the doors, Paul greeted us with a genuine smile and a warm welcome that set the tone for the entire evening. His professionalism, combined with a personable and attentive approach, immediately made us feel like we were in good hands.

Paul went above and beyond by patiently walking us through the menu, offering thoughtful suggestions that demonstrated his in-depth knowledge of the restaurant's offerings. Based on his recommendations, we opted for the ribeye steak, cooked medium-rare, paired with a refreshingly vibrant chimichurri sauce, and it was absolute perfection—tender, juicy, and bursting with flavor. We also tried the Philly steak and the Angus beef smash burger, both of which were equally outstanding. Each dish was beautifully presented and exceeded our expectations in taste and quality.

What stood out most was Paul’s attentiveness. He was patient as we made our decisions, checked in with us at just the right times without being intrusive, and made sure that every detail of our dining experience was flawless. Hello and Greetings all!

First of all, I’m a regular customer for 7 Ribs mainly this branch. This is my first time reviewing it as I always try to expose myself to the experience for either Food, Coffee, Concepts Stores… etc for a very long period in order to give an honest review.

I gave this branch 5 Stars for the Food Column because the quality of the Food remained the same since there first opening, and to be honest they got better too as they brought a new burger now and will be released soon then you will try yourselves and see what I mean.

Also, I gave this branch 5 Stars for the Service as the whole team including Jeff, Aziz, Patrick and the rest of the respected team have never failed me in either being Respectful, Joyful, Quick and most importantly understanding you when you ask them to personalize an order which is from my humble opinion is like an Essence for the F&B Businesses.

Lastly, I gave 5 Stars for the Atmosphere as the Vibe of the Food with the Decoration gives you the feeling of a real Meat Restaurant. Like no words can be expressed to talk about the vibe unless you try it!

Additionally, the Hygiene of the Place and the Quality of the Tables, Chairs…etc are flawless!

I hope they remain the same and go from their place to be better more and more.
