Santini — Restaurant in Al Maathar Municipality

I had dinner at 8:00pm tonight I booked a table in advance for tow people ( me and my wife )

at the beginning no one was at the door to escort me , When i set at the table I asked for side table to put my laptop ( they don’t have ) Then I asked if they have a hanger for my coat ( also they don’t have ) I have ordered 6 courses and tow drinks , Food comes before the drinks ! ( then they bring the drinks after the starters !! ) When it comes to service ( they were very slow and not active with my requests and needs ) I asked to turn on the heater behind me , 20 min later i have asked the server about the heater again! He told me that it is not working! I have ordered 7up with ice and lemon ( he brings the 7up bottle room temperature and no lemon was in the glass) Also he did not repeat my order ! At some point i saw tow servers arguing in front of me about something witch is not pleasant at all ! He did not asked wither I have allergies or not ( witch make me suspicious about the restaurant standers ) No one change the plates for new one ! Floor manger was not checking each table individually if there are fine or not ! Finally, when I asked for the bill it took him 15 min to get it to me !

When it comes to food I think it was delicious perfectly made ( except the seabass dish , I find it not appalling that you are giving me one single filet for that price! around 180 g of seabass is not matching with the price at all )

Overall i did not enjoy my dinner ( 90% because of the service) I can see lack of skills and experience very clearly,

We recently visited Santini and were blown away by the quality and authenticity of the Italian cuisine. we ordered a variety of classic dishes and they were all exceptional.

The lasagne-bolognese was rich, hearty, and packed with flavor. The pasta was perfectly cooked and the bolognese sauce was incredibly savory and robust. Absolutely delicious.

The gnocchi 50/50 was a real standout. Half potato gnocchi and half ricotta gnocchi - the contrasting textures and flavors worked so well together. Perfectly light and pillowy.

The homemade ravioli was also fantastic.

The charcoal-grilled lamb chops were mouthwatering. The chops had a wonderful char and smoky flavor, and were cooked to a perfect medium-rare. Tender and juicy.

To finish, the Santini cheesecake was a revelation. Creamy and rich, with a lovely graham cracker crust. A truly decadent end to the meal.

The service was attentive and friendly throughout the meal. Bipin's attentiveness throughout the meal was truly remarkable. He checked in regularly to ensure our food and drinks were to our liking, and anticipated our needs before we even had to ask. His passion for the restaurant's offerings and commitment to providing a seamless dining experience were evident in every interaction.

I rarely write bad reviews, but our recent family lunch at Santini Italian Restaurant was so disheartening that I feel compelled to share our experience. Firstly, the presence of flies, both indoors and outdoors, was unbearable. It significantly dampened our dining experience, making it difficult to relax or enjoy our meal.

Speaking of the meal, the food quality was underwhelming. The dishes lacked the authentic Italian flavor one would expect from a restaurant of this supposed caliber. The pasta was overcooked, the sauce tasted bland, and the ingredients didn't seem fresh.

Moreover, the atmosphere left much to be desired. There was no background music, the decor was uninspired, and the overall ambiance was lacking. This was not the cozy, inviting Italian dining experience we were hoping for.

Lastly, the prices were exorbitant, especially considering the quality of food and service we received. It felt like a poor value for money, and left us regretting our decision to dine here.

In summary, our lunch at Santini Italian Restaurant was a letdown. We were expecting a pleasant family meal but were met with a disappointing experience across the board. I cannot recommend this restaurant and would advise others to look elsewhere for authentic...
