I have been a loyal customer of BAR B Q Tonight since its inception, dining there numerous times with friends, family, and colleagues. I’ve always enjoyed their buffet, particularly the fish tikka, Peshawari kebab, mutton ribs, and chicken reshmi kebab. Unfortunately, my recent visit last night was quite disappointing.

Not only have they increased their prices, but they have also noticeably reduced the quantity of some of my favorite dishes, including fish tikka and mutton rice. To make matters worse, the quality of the mutton steamed was subpar; it had an incomplete grilling, and the smell of raw meat and inadequate marination was overwhelming. It was a terrible experience and as a result of poor quality, I have suffered from food poisoning.

Moreover, the restaurant seemed practically empty during my visit, which was surprising given its usual popularity. It’s evident that customers are not willing to overlook such issues. It’s crucial for a restaurant to maintain quality and provide value to its customers, and unfortunately, BAR B Q Tonight has not managed to do either on this occasion.

I hope management takes these concerns seriously, as this could lead to a loss of dedicated patrons. Without immediate and significant improvements, I fear for the future of this...

I had the opportunity to dine at Barbecue Tonight in Flamingo Mall, Jeddah, for a Suhoor meal on March 13, 2025, starting at 10 PM. Unfortunately, the experience was far from satisfying.

Firstly, the price of 59 SAR per person seemed reasonable, but the variety and quality of the food were disappointing. Compared to their Iftar dinner options, the items available during the Suhoor slot were significantly fewer. Notably, there was no chicken or mutton kebab on the menu, which seemed odd given that the restaurant's name suggests a focus on barbecue items. The biryani was particularly underwhelming and honestly felt like a waste of money – it was bland and lacked flavor.

Additionally, the service left much to be desired. When it came time to pay the bill, the cashier kept asking for tips in a manner that felt forced and uncomfortable. Given the subpar food quality and lackluster service, this was particularly irritating. Tips should be voluntary, and it's inappropriate to ask for them when the overall experience doesn't justify it.

Only chicken and beef seekh kebabs were available—no grilled meats, fish, or other BBQ staples. The absence of paratha (a basic expectation for such cuisines) was baffling. 2️⃣ Low-Cost Vegetarian Dishes: Three out of the five dishes were bland, uninspired vegetarian options that felt like filler items (e.g., basic salads, lentils, and rice). 3️⃣ Missing Amenities: Tea wasn’t offered, which felt stingy given the high price tag.

Value for Money? The quality and variety were closer to a 30 SAR/person buffet. The lack of effort in curating a proper BBQ menu, combined with the steep cost, makes this feel like a rip-off.
