Another disappointing experience….!

Recently, I got a chance to visit Zamzam Tonight restaurantwith office colleagues. Although I was reluctant to go there due to my previous experiences, I agreed to have lunch considering that the restaurants management would have improved. But unfortunately, the overall experience was even worse.

Overall, I would give my rating based on my experience of the meal(taste, size, rate, presentation and temperature), ambience, customer service and customer experience.

A couple of days ago I, along with my colleagues visited the restaurant to enjoy our get-together. The moment we entered the restaurant we started to feel uncomfortable as the gentry around us was not as appropriate as expected.While the restaurant doesn’t have direct control over this matter, I believe the customers are a reflection of the restaurant’s ambience.

The unpleasant experience continues while we faced the non-cooperative and rude behaviour of the ordering/cash officer. Later, it worsened when we saw the seating arrangements. The seats were so congested that chairs are arranged back-to-back and can’t sit or stand without interfering with the person sitting behind us. The behaviour of the waiters was ridiculously rude. When we requested to serve a starter when the main course wasn’t ready, they responded impolitely and didn’t serve the starter. Even when one of our colleagues requested a waiter to come and take an additional order, instead of coming closer and taking the order he shouted from the distance without moving an inch and asked us to give the order loudly.

As far as ambience is concerned, the restaurant was filled with houseflies. The Air conditioners weren’t able to cool the dining hall. The washroom was pathetic.

As regards the food taste, it was fine. We ordered mutton Karhai and Fish Masala. The size of the meal was okay considering its rate. The presentation of the food was awful. The serving time of the meal was too long so we started carving without any starter served by the restaurant. The temperature of the curries was okay but the naan and tandoori rotis weren’t freshly backed. We ordered a well-backed roti, but the waiters didn’t fulfil it.

In comparison to the Aziziyah branch, this particular branch didn't quite capture the essence of entering a vibrant restaurant. The atmosphere here felt somewhat bland, lacking the buzz of dishes moving around tables and the lively ambiance. However, it's worth noting that the service was slightly better at this branch, except for one hiccup when our order was taken. The staff member seemed in a rush for us to make our selections and even hurried to prepare the bill right after serving the food.

As for the food, we tried a variety of dishes. The Chicken Kurma, which was the main dish, turned out to be okayish. It wasn't overly spicy but also not exceptionally flavorful. We also sampled the Zamzam Tonight Special Soup, which had a decent, standard taste. However, the Hot and Sour Soup was a bit of a disappointment, as it was filled with ketchup and came across as overly sweet. On a positive note, the Kebabs were quite good and juicy.

One noticeable difference was that the food here was slightly less oily compared to the Aziziyah branch. It was a bit refreshing in that aspect.

Very bad & liars both staff & manager,, Shame

Need to put more responsible people even in Ramadan are dealing with costumers like this then what will do in other days.

After booking a table for Iftar with family & I tell them that I’m coming from Macca after umrah so must give me confirmation through phone call so I can come or not & it was confirmed that it’s booked.

When i reached at restaurant there wasn’t any booking before Maghreb time & the resturant was full as well as they denied that I didn’t call them or have any confirmation after I show him the calls & the WhatsApp msgs but he refused to accept,,, but same time he said all phone numbers are ok & not wrong.

I then asked to get any food to take away because I have family with me & fasting but the manager said nothing available. Doesn’t think any Muslim deny to sell any food at Maghreb time with money & not for free ,,,
