Poke Bowl — Restaurant in Makkah Region

I had dinner there one evening. The decor of the place is quirky, colorful, and fun. The dining experience is a bit similar to assembling a burrito bowl in Mexican food but with sushi. You get to choose the size of your bowl then you choose a base which includes zucchini noodles ,quinoa or rice. After that you choose your protein, vegetables, sauces and any add-ons you wish. I chose the Jeddawi signature pre mixed bowl but changed the white rice to brown. It terms of taste I really enjoyed it. The flavors all worked together and nothing was too overpowering. It was also filling and I only ordered a small bowl. I just wish the prices weren't so high as SR54 for the small size bowl is quite steep. I also wish it would have been presented nicer for dine-in, for example, perhaps a glass bowl or something more appealing to look at especially since price is so high. A great place with great service and vibe. With competition quite rampant these days my only observation was that i felt some items did not taste as they did in the past when the place first opened. For example, I asked for torched salmon, the salmon sadly was over torched and cooked too thoroughly. It was also a bit tough to ask the guys serving to be slightly more generous with the additives. Such as tobiko, nori…etc. i think the guys need just another round of training just to get the quantities and ratios right and the flavor spot on. Though prices are already on the high side but i do not mind being charged extra in exchange for getting more command on the amount of additives such as nori…etc and not feel like every time i ask for more i will be charged extra. My friends took me to Poke Bowl for a belated birthday dinner. When they said it was sushi in a bowl I wasn't too sure it would be good. But it was delicious! They have a bowl size for every appetite. I was really hungry so I got a large bowl. It was too much, but hey, I got leftovers🤤 the price was great for the quality and quantity of food you get. It is way cheaper than getting sushi at other places in Jeddah which, will ensure me coming back again. The environment was very clean and the decor was industrial meets beachside cafe. If you have been to Panda Express in the US it works in pretty much the same way. Very limited drink selection which could be much improved.
