the best dining experience I’ve had anywhere in Riyadh. Firstly, they are super accommodating for all problems I told them about my inability to dress in accordance to the dress code due to my surgery and they didn’t say anything and even let us park closer to the entrance so I wouldn’t walk much and made my reservation on the same call. Now onto the reception, they were very nice and kind and spoke many languages they also saw that the reservation was made for a wrong date from their associate and they fixed it then let us in to a really good table with an impeccable view of the KAFD wadi area. The waiter was amazing I forgot his name but he was Azerbaijani he was funny and helpful and gave us some amazing recommendations for food which made the experience even better. The food was unreal and it was all to die for but, you’d be missing out if you didn’t try the black cod skewers those were genuinely the most delicious thing ever they’re also super filling sadly the rest of the food is slightly low in portions and in how filling it is but it’s early tasty and worth every penny just when ordering the meat (wagyu or Australian) id definitely recommend ordering it pre cooked instead of cooking it on the table as that is quite difficult but everything was amazing the texture of the lettuce salad was slightly off putting but everything else was flawless definitely get the black cod miso anticuchos and we got 100g of Australian wagyu (get it robata yaki) the el topo samba rolls the Kari Kari samba rolls and truffle rice. Food was very nice. Miso soup was too salty but everything else was good. However, was a little disappointed at the service. For paying in the range of few thousands SAR for one meal, the staff were not very attentive. Had to try to get the staff attention a few times to order despite the restaurant being empty as it was a weekday. Was not attentive at filling our water glasses - which I wouldn’t have minded too much if the table was not large but was sat there thinking why no one was keeping an eye out for our table. No coat service but maybe it is not a thing in Riyadh as is it a warm country. Lastly and most disappointingly, the metal edge of the table was damaged and was very sharp. I had not realised until we had finished dining but felt my shirt pull. As I examined this, i noticed that my shirt had caught on this table sharp metal edge on a round table and the shirt had been damaged. I tried to alert the staff about this as it was quite sharp but he was not interested. After I asked him to look and feel the sharpness of the table damage and showing him my shirt, he simple said - I will let our engineer know. There was no apology about my shirt’s damage.

From the moment I walked into Sushi Samba Riyadh, I felt transported to a serene corner of Japan.
