Visiting the Al Mamlaka Social Dining hall for the first time. Opted for the Chinese, because it offered some tasty sounding dim sum. Yum.

Yu, by Tokai - this one is a full service offering and we were looked after extremely well by Abdullah on this occasion.

Small menu with an excellent mix of dim sum and other intriguing dishes. Nice to see this variety. Sharing plates are always good; more for the tasting.

Chopsticks and cutlery on the table. I like to see it. My chopstick game is poor 😆

Ordered a cross-section - shumai (prawns), xiao long bao (chicken), Angus buns, duck rolls and a crispy shredded chilli beef. A rice to accompany.

The food was all fantastic, well cooked and full of flavour. Good sized portions, not too big but plenty to share. Spice level relatively low.

Price was exceptionally reasonable and well worth it; even factoring in the entry fee. I had no complaints.

Overall a good visit, I will definitely come back here if I get the chance. All signs point to success.

Definitely recommended to those of you in Riyadh...

I recently dined at Yu by Toki in Riyadh, and I can confidently say it’s one of the best Asian dining experiences I’ve had. The flavors were rich, the textures perfectly balanced, and the presentation was impeccable.

We started with the Black Truffle Dumplings – delicate, aromatic, and bursting with umami. The Xiao Long Bao (Chicken) was equally impressive, with a flavorful broth and tender filling wrapped in a thin, perfectly steamed dough.

The Sweet & Sour Chicken struck a perfect balance between tangy and crispy, while the Duck Fried Rice delivered a satisfying, smoky depth. The standout, however, was the Angus Bun – juicy, tender beef encased in a soft, steamed bun with just the right amount of seasoning.

Beyond the food, the service was exceptional. Our waiter Jahid and his colleagues were amazing – attentive, professional, and genuinely warm. They made sure everything was perfect and added a personal touch that elevated the entire experience.
