A Heartwarming Brunch at Brunch & Cake, Al Bujairi
Spending time with my daughter Manal and my son Abdulaziz is always a cherished experience, but our recent brunch at Brunch & Cake, Al Bujairi was particularly special. Nestled in the heart of Diriyah, with a view that seamlessly blends history and modern elegance, the restaurant provided the perfect backdrop for a morning of great food and even greater company.
From the moment we walked in, we were welcomed with warm hospitality and a cozy yet vibrant ambiance. The natural sunlight streaming through the windows, the artfully arranged dishes, and the lively chatter of families and friends created an atmosphere that was both relaxing and energizing.
The menu was a delightful blend of creative and wholesome options, and every dish we ordered was a work of art—both visually and in taste. The avocado toast was a masterpiece, served with a generous portion of fresh, creamy avocado atop rustic sourdough, perfectly complemented by pomegranate jewels and edible flowers. Manal, ever the connoisseur, appreciated the attention to detail in both flavor and presentation. Abdulaziz, on the other hand, went for a more indulgent choice—the classic eggs Benedict—and found the hollandaise sauce to be rich yet balanced, with just the right hint of citrus. As for me, I couldn’t resist the allure of their famous Lotus pancakes, a delightful combination of fluffy goodness and caramelized crunch that felt like a warm embrace with every bite.
Beyond the food, what made the experience truly memorable was the conversation. Sitting across from my grown children, watching them share their thoughts and stories, reminded me of how time moves swiftly, yet moments like these make it all worthwhile. Manal, fresh from her recent promotion and work trip, spoke about the challenges of balance in a fast-paced career, while Abdulaziz, now engaged and stepping into a new phase of life, reflected on the meaning of commitment and family. It was one of those mornings where time slowed, where laughter lingered, and where the simple joy of sharing a meal became something profound.
Brunch & Cake didn’t just serve us food—it served us a memory, one that I will hold onto with gratitude. Whether for a casual breakfast, a special occasion, or simply a chance to pause and connect, this place has mastered the art of making every meal an experience.
A heartfelt 5/5—for the flavors, the atmosphere, and for being the perfect setting to celebrate the beautiful...
Read moreIt's my first time to visit Brunch and Cake yesterday. Suffice it to say, it really exceeded my expectations. From the moment I stepped in, the peaceful ambiance can already be felt. I felt right at home because of the beautiful interior (the soft bright earth tones are TO DIE FOR! Not to mention the intricate attention to every detail with every corner of the place) and we were received by such lovely hostesses who were way beyond accommodating and they were absolutely charming! Just what you’d expect for a lovely brunch moment.
It was pretty much a truffle party, we ordered the truffle pasta and pizza. 10/10 would highly recommend it!!! The flavors were an explosion of freshness with the perfect blend of herbs and spices. I wouldn’t mind having a bigger serving of the truffle pasta though, but that’s just personal preference since we usually order pasta for sharing. The pizza was heavenly, the crust was the perfect consistency of having a crunch to the upper crust but still very soft on the inside. When the dough has a tough consistency I don’t usually eat the entire crust, but I’m happy to report that you won’t experience that here! We also ordered the calamari and fries, I’d give those a 6/10.
As for the drinks, I had the Berry Bush Mojito and it was delightful! The perfect drink for brunch or if you just want something refreshing for summer or any season tbh. I’m way beyond impressed by their mixologist/barista Alen, who formulated all these refreshing, yummy, and REALLY aesthetically pleasing drinks. I even told my friends that it looks too beautiful and yummy to “destroy” but it’s totally worth it! I heard so much hype about this place regarding the drinks specifically, so I’m super pumped that it didn’t disappoint. TOP NOTCH is an understatement.
We also surprised one of our friends with a birthday cheesecake, they also sing the whole happy birthday bit if you’re interested to do the same for someone in the future. The desserts were to die for!! We really enjoyed them all, especially the cheesecake and the strawberry cake (I forgot the actual name). The saffron cake was also good.
Overall, it was such a pleasant experience. We will definitely go back to try the other dishes! Don’t even try skipping this dope place, you will be...
Read moreI had a wonderful family dinner at Brunch and Cake in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The restaurant is cosy and inviting, with modern and colourful decor. The staff were amazing, friendly and attentive, and they made sure we had everything we needed. The food and beverage experience was amazing, with a variety of dishes and drinks to choose from. We had avocado toast, chicken piadina, mushroom and truffle pizza, raspberry and pistachio cake, and berry bush. Everything was delicious and fresh, and the portions were generous. I especially loved the cake, which was moist and rich, with a creamy raspberry frosting. The berry bush was refreshing and sweet, with a hint of mint. One of the best things about Brunch and Cake is that they have a live kitchen, where you can see the pizzas being freshly prepared in front of you. They also have a great selection of salads, sandwiches, pastries, and coffee. Another thing that caught my eye was the cake display at the entrance of the restaurant, where they showcase their mouthwatering creations. I also noticed that they have a nice coffee and tea collection on the menu, with different flavours and blends to suit every taste. I would personally recommend Brunch and Cake to anyone looking for a satisfying and enjoyable...
