I visited this hotel earlier when it opened in early 2000s and we ordered 5 chicken tikka and 1 daal mash from their menu. It was about 10:00 PM when we ordered. We kept on waiting till 10: 45 but nothing was served till then. We asked for water so a waiter came and gave us a water bottle and few disposable glass. Later at about 11 we started to argue that what's taking them so long and they kept us saying that your order will be ready in 5 mins. At about 11:30 my family couldnt tolerate and we threatened them that we will leave hotel now and to our surprise the waiter shouted happily to another person on phone "order is cancelled so dont bring chicken from meat shop now" that was their standard and hospitality and service 15+ years ago. After soooo long we visited this hotel again cz of an invitation by friend. And to our surprise everything was equally bad infact worse as it was 15 yrs ago. We ordered fried rice, chicken shashlik, palak, mix vegetable, seekh kabab and malai boti. From all above dishes only seekh kabab and malai boti were good infact they were really tasty but we doubt that they had purchased it from a nearby another restaurant. Coming to shashlik it was just thick gravy of ketchup with chunks of white chicken. The rice were just ok. The vegetables tasted sour and ripened. The palak was not palak it was saag infact. In short every item was flawlessly bad tasted and of worst quality apart frm bbq items which we are sure they bought from nearby restaurant. I would suggest never ever go to this resturant. It will be waste of money...
Read moreHappy anniversary @khayyam.restaurant for completing 20 years of success. Recently I was invited to their celebratory lunch. @khayyam.restaurant is one of my family’s favorite restaurants. We’ve been going to it for the past 18 years so we clearly have a lot of memories there! We used to go there every week but hadn’t been in a while. The bbq is an all time favorite! The lunch yesterday was AMAZING! We were served an extensive variety of foods which I can’t even fit in here! The food was absolutely delicious and left me speechless, once again. Another exciting part was meeting so many bloggers from Riyadh who I’ve only ever seen on Instagram. It was my first time ever to a bloggers meet up and it was a blast! All the bloggers I met there were equally as nice and amazing as they appear to be. Again thank u so much @khayyam.restaurant for making our...
Read moreWell visited this place with few friends after reading really positive feedback from lots of local guides and the fact that it's been there for 20years
First of all the restaurant gives out a good ambience and also ease of parking.
That's all the positive I could really get from the restaurant after thinking for 5 minutes.
The food was horrible. We ordered Chicken Jalferenzi which was way to sweet, the naan that order was so thick that it's was impossible to chew itself. Then we went for a safe option Chicken Tikka that was horrible .We also witnessed the cardinal sin of a restaurant my friend found blood on his tikka.
Such a horrible place that even made me think that all these positive reviews were done by paying all those bloggers..
Anyways never visiting this...
