Disappointing Experience at Zaitoon Hotel
Gents,
I recently had the opportunity to dine at Zaitoon Hotel, and I must say that my experience left much to be desired. From the lazy staff to the mediocre food taste and exorbitant prices, I was thoroughly disappointed with my visit.
First and foremost, the hotel staff's lackadaisical attitude was evident right from the moment I entered. They seemed disinterested and unwilling to assist customers. It was frustrating to see them neglecting their responsibilities and paying little attention to the needs of the guests. Their lack of professionalism and proactive service left a negative impression.
Moving on to the food, I found it to be below average in terms of taste and quality. The dishes lacked flavor and were quite unimpressive. It seemed as though the chefs had put minimal effort into preparing the meals. Considering the high prices charged by Zaitoon Hotel, I had expected a much better culinary experience. Unfortunately, the food failed to meet even the most basic standards, leaving me feeling unsatisfied and regretful.
Moreover, the pricing at Zaitoon Hotel is completely out of sync with the market. The rates charged for the subpar food and lackluster service are simply unjustifiable. It felt as though the hotel was trying to take advantage of its customers by inflating prices without providing an equivalent level of quality or value.
Overall, I cannot recommend Zaitoon Hotel based on my experience. The combination of lazy staff, mediocre food, and inflated prices left me feeling disappointed and dissatisfied. There are certainly better options available in the market that offer superior service, tastier food, and more reasonable pricing. Save yourself the disappointment and explore other dining choices instead.

Read moreThis was my second visit to Zaitoon Restaurant, and unfortunately, it confirmed that my first experience during Ramadan wasn’t just a one-off — it’s a pattern of poor service and mismanagement.
During my first visit, we waited over an hour for dishes to be replenished, and the chaos of the buffet was hard to ignore. The only saving grace was their Haleem, which was genuinely delicious — but oddly, it’s not available in their regular menu, despite being their most popular dish.
Hoping things had improved over time, I decided to give them another chance today with my family. Sadly, I was wrong. Once again, dishes were not replenished on time, and the buffet lacked organization. They happened to serve Haleem this time — not by planning, but only because another customer had specially requested it. Unsurprisingly, it ran out halfway through the meal. In its place, they offered Dhaka Fish, but that too was delayed and served in limited quantity.
Worst of all, the customer service was shockingly poor — inattentive staff, zero sense of urgency, and absolutely no regard for guest experience. My family and I were appalled. For a restaurant that claims to be quality, this was a deeply disappointing and frustrating experience.
Never going back again. If you're considering visiting Zaitoon, think twice — it might just turn out to be the most disheartening dining experience...
Read moreI recently dined at Zaitoon Indian & Chinese Cuisine in Riyadh and opted for their buffet, which turned out to be an incredible experience! The meal began with a sweet corn chicken soup, and I have to say, it was absolutely amazing—rich, flavorful, and a perfect start to the meal.
The buffet offered a wide variety of dishes, both for meat lovers and vegetarians. For starters, there were a range of grilled kebabs that were perfectly cooked and delicious. On the vegetarian side, they had options like dal and vegetable biryani, which were both flavorful and well-prepared. For those who enjoy non-vegetarian dishes, they had mutton biryani as well as a variety of chicken and mutton curries, all served with plain rice and an assortment of tandoori breads that were freshly made and paired perfectly with the curries.
To finish off the meal, they had a great selection of traditional Indian desserts, including jalebi and gulab jamun, which were the perfect sweet ending to the buffet. The entire buffet experience was priced at just 45 SAR per person, which is truly a fantastic deal considering the quality and variety of dishes offered.
If you’re in Riyadh and looking for a place to enjoy a hearty Indian and Chinese buffet, I highly recommend Zaitoon. The combination of great food, affordability, and friendly service makes it a...
