Zouq Al Nihari Firstly i would let every one know that despite of very average customer services of most of pakistani resturents . I won't post any negative review., Probably this is an exception that also due to misbeahvior and negative ethics of the staff from waiter to counter guys which is a must to address as all the customers and visitors deserve respect atleast... . -Firstly after 40.mins we offered a table of 10 for around 14 people, when i asked them we are 14 he told me you said appprox 12. I said yes one couple join us now we are 14.can you arrange so he rudely replied adjust i can't bring table.. From where i bring. We tolerate it as it was rush and humanly its possible to get furstrate.. However the same could be communicated in a decent way. . after 20 mins of sitting in table waiter after so many request. Some how appear and told. Us all food finish and only 5 single nehari and 3 to 4 haleem plates available.. After repeat3d request for bbq biryani qorma. He said nothing left.... So we asked them to bring what is left... While We were having food we were surprised some new families and people entering, one of them Fortunately my friends job colleague.. My friend told him thr food is finish.. To which he said in a gesture its there and to our surprise after around 10 to 15 mins they werre served with bbq tikkah, biryani and nehari all 🙄.. . Strange it was for us.. We communicate to counter the issue. For which the guy was rudely making statement and shouting like they have no argument... We asked in civilized way but yet they were so arrogent rather then accepting and apologizing for falsifying (we r certain they deliberately did) they were being lloud and aggressive which was a surprised for me as i visited them more then 20 to 30 times b4 this. Yet they were misbeaving with our colleagues having families with them., then one of the guy come he said nehari come from our other branch that too at around 11.45.. But chicken tikkah and biryani also was there for which they had no false excuse as Well . Generally we are very passive in voicing negative comments but its a must as yesterday i witnessed at many instances, while serving waiters taunting comments and the counter Guys agression, aerrogance and v v rude attitude which need serious fix and to...
Read moreThis has to be counted in as one of the worst dining experience we had at Zouq Al-Nihari malaz branch.
We reached around 9 pm and ordered nihari being their specialty along with haleem & some barbcue items, after 10 mins of waiting the waiter came to us saying nihari is finished (pretty strange that howcome your signature dish can finish so early knowing the fact that most of the customers are coming here just for nihari and these are eid holidays where more people are supposed to come than normal days so you should be aware of the quantity you are supposed to cook) so we ordered chicken karahi instead, so after another 15 mins wait our order was served without the barbcue items, the chicken karahi was below average in taste with too much tomatoes in it and the chicken pieces were all broken down like it was the last remaining thing left in the pot and they put it for us. Now for the haleem it was served dead cold with some strange smell, we immediately return it back to bring different serving, again another wait for haleem which came in better temperature than before but that smell was still there.
And now comes the strange part which i had never encountered in my 20 years here in saudi in any of the restaurants that they charge you extra for the leftover food per dish that you want to takeaway with you. Even though its a small amount but why charge this to the customers if they dont want their food to be thrown away by the restaurant themselves and they are taking it with them so it will not be wasted. You are actually promoting the culture of throwing away the leftover food instead of appreciating customers who wanted to takeaway their remaining food by charging them for no reason👎🏻.
Oops! by the way our barbcue never came to our table till we left and we cancelled it at the end.
Thank you for this experience and making sure that we never comes to this...

I recently visited this restaurant with a few friends, and it was a deeply disappointing experience. We were kept waiting for 30-45 minutes before being seated, only to find there weren’t enough seats for our group. Once that was sorted out, the waiter informed us that the only food available was the last five plates of nihari and a few plates of haleem. This was confusing and frustrating, as we wondered why we were made to wait if there was limited food.
Things took a turn for the worse when we noticed that the items previously declared unavailable were being served to another table shortly after. This inconsistency was baffling and suggested poor management or, perhaps, some supernatural intervention.
When we approached the counter to address the issue, the waitstaff and management reacted unprofessionally, shouting at us and shifting the blame onto us for our dissatisfaction. The service throughout was lacking; the waiter often ignored us, made faces, and responded rudely when we voiced our concerns.
To top it all off, the management falsely claimed to other customers that we were causing a scene to avoid paying, even though we had indeed paid the bill and were merely expressing our dissatisfaction. Overall, the experience was frustrating and poorly handled, leaving us dissatisfied with both the service and the restaurant's management.
We, as customers respect that these restauranteurs work hard to serve us, however arguing and blaming customers is not the solution nor how the restaurant works. I sincerely hope that the management takes note of this and does not treat any other...
