I don’t know why it’s called Gong Cha or whatever the heck this “milk or bubble tea store” is but this is definitely not Gong Cha nor does it deserve to have this name/franchise of this renowned establishment. First, their bestselling Wintermelon Milk Tea wasn’t available on their menu which is understandable. Maybe they will bring it in at a later time. Second, I was excited to order one Pistachio Milk Tea and one Mint Chocolate Green Milk Tea, made both Medium size to-go with the specific instruction of having no boba. The cashier misunderstood my request and placed boba on my second drink and if I haven’t seen them making my order it would be a disaster. Third, the Pistachio Milk Tea should be green (or at least green-like) but what I got is a latte-like bland juice. Can’t even taste the pistachio in there. It’s like buying a milk tea from a public market. Both the cashier and the barista even looked at each other puzzled why the pistachio turned into a latte so something’s up for sure. The Mint Chocolate was a bit okay but far from being one and the food coloring was too bright close to being a neon blue. Fourth, there wasn’t even an apology (the cashier made me feel like it was my mistake of “not telling” her the specifics nor a thank you for coming in and buying any dreadful beverage they have. Such a shame this even existed in the first place. There is definitely 98% need for improvement not just with their products but with their staff as well. Mind you I’m the only customer at that time. I can tell why. My 40SAR gone down the drain. Perhaps I’ll just stick to Tiger Sugar or to any decent or half-decent tea shops in or...
Read moreUpon approaching the store, the cashier in charge named "SARA" immediately spoke to us (me, and my friend) and said it would take 20 minutes. We knew we’d have to wait that long, so we agreed since we still had an order from another store. While we were looking at the menu to look for other drinks, she suddenly started serving the next customer, who could speak Arabic. We had to step aside because she was busy with them. We let it slide, even though it was frustrating.
After that, we still placed an order—even though there was no boba/tapioca pearl available. She asked us for the size, and we asked for the prices of small and medium. She told us the prices, and since we were buying three drinks, we chose small. We were shocked when we paid 80 SAR; We asked her about it, but we couldn’t understand her because she was speaking Arabic. Luckily, a Filipino staff was there who translated for us.
According to the filipino staff, Sara said we ordered four medium-sized drinks, which is false—We only ordered three small ones. She may have misunderstood us, or perhaps it was a language barrier. The cashier was rude and had a terrible attitude, it's showing through her body language and a tone of her voice. Despite that, the Filipino guy tried to be polite and kept on explaining to her. Afterwards, a Filipino staff gave us 20 SAR as a token of apology.
We were annoyed by how rude and unapproachable the cashier was. She clearly lacks proper training and customer service skills. We sincerely hope next time you employ a polite, well-trained, and friendly cashier—someone everyone would actually enjoy...
Read moreFantastic Experience at Gong Cha
I recently visited Gong Cha with total excitement as I already experience their milk tea in my home country even if there was a long queue but totally worth it and was thoroughly impressed again with the quality of their beverages and the overall experience. We ordered the Crème Brûlée Signature Milk Tea, Taro Milk Tea, and Mango Green Tea with Coconut Jelly.
The Crème Brûlée Signature Milk Tea was an absolute delight. The blend of the rich, creamy milk tea with the perfectly caramelized crème brûlée topping was heavenly. Each sip was smooth and flavorful, making it a standout choice.
The Taro Milk Tea was another hit. The natural sweetness and earthy flavor of the taro were perfectly balanced, and the drink had a wonderful creamy texture. It’s a must-try for anyone who loves taro-based drinks that you can add ons any pearls, coconut jelly or etc depends on what you preferred.
Lastly, the Mango Green Tea with Coconut Jelly was incredibly refreshing. The combination of the sweet and tangy mango with the subtle bitterness of green tea, complemented by the chewy coconut jelly, made for a delightful and refreshing drink.
And for the prices of their signature tea and fruit tea sizes: Small-17 Med-20 Large-23
