Zafran Indian Kitchen - The View Mall — Restaurant in Municipality of Olaya

Yesterday, I visited The View Mall and tried out @zafranindianbistro’s special Ramadhan Set Menu.

The iftar set menu consisted of a variety of foods including dates, fruit, vimto, salad, soup, your choice of main course, daal, biryani and naan.

My family & i loved the food and were so full by the end of iftar. I had such a very enjoyable time. Would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a good iftar. It’s worth the price.

Tried jash e kabab menu at The beautifully decorated restaurant offers what is, probably the best Indian Food I have ever tried in Riyadh. Service is fast, servers are kind & cooperative (esp Mr Shadman) & food is extremely delicious & upto the mark, always.

I had been hearing amazing things about Zafran Indian Bistro ‘s “Jashn-e-Kebab” Menu and decided to give it a try!

I visited Zafran’s branch in The View Mall and chose to be seated indoors due to the freezing weather.

The staff were kind & cooperative and brought our food out almost immediately.

I ordered : • Chaat Platter • zafran feast Platter • Butter Chicken • Lamb Biryani • Gulab Jamun

The Jashn-e-Kebab Platter was the best thing ever! It was accompanied by home-made dips made by the chefs. So much variety i didnt know where to start from. Everything was so delicious. The Kaffir Lime Jinghe were probably my favourite off the Jashn-e-Kebab Platter.

Their Butter Chicken is my favorite one I have ever tried at an Indian Restaurant in Riyadh and it was upto the mark as usual. Chaat Platter is also now a staple in my order.

I recently visited Zafran with high expectations, given its reputation and the upscale prices. However, my experience was unfortunately disappointing.

Ambiance and Comfort: The restaurant has a stylish decor, but the seating was notably uncomfortable. For a place charging premium prices, I expected more attention to comfort, which is crucial for an enjoyable dining experience.

Food Quality and Taste: The quality of the food was decent, but the flavors did not meet the mark. The dishes lacked the vibrant, authentic taste that I associate with great Indian cuisine. While the presentation was good, the taste left much to be desired.

Pricing: The prices are on the higher side, which is acceptable if the food and experience justify it. Unfortunately, in this case, they did not. Given the taste and comfort issues, the overall value for money was poor.

In conclusion, Zafran has potential but needs significant improvements in both food taste and dining comfort to justify its high prices. I hope they take these aspects into consideration to enhance the overall...

Mr. SUDUS took our order, and he took care of everything very well. We ordered a welcome drink that is Rose Drink. it's a must try so refreshing and delicious.
