GIGLIO beach club — Restaurant in Dakar

For me it was good few months back, now I don’t know as they doing to much events… As Italian restaurants their dishes were very nice, but the Senegalese dishes a bite a disaster… cooking seasoning a flop… Lucky the waitress was well formed and acted upon earrings us not being very satisfied with 1 main course and ask if we wanted to change it before we even really decided to complain or not about it… very nice move! Unfortunately the chef wanting to do nice again and fast sent a pasta dish which was missing few minutes of cooking 🫣🫣🫣 but...

Honestly a rip off. I ordered the lemon shrimps and there were 8 shrimps (I counted). The shrimp were also not fresh and not well seasoned. You can get much much better at any restaurant on the Corniche. My 8 shrimps, a sparking water and a virgin cocktail cost me 17,000 FCFA which is robbery in broad daylight.

It's a family friendly place so there are a lot of screaming kids on a Sunday. I didn't like the music and the service was not particularly attentive. Nice view though.

Perfect spot to spend a Sunday, they have a great brunch, filled with sea food (calamari, muscles, shrimp) with pasta, salad, fries and dessert to top it off. They have a beautiful spot in the back with soft sand where you can relax, enjoy the live music and watch the surfers jumping the waves...
