It's hard for me to write a review about this place because I'm very ambivalent about it. On one hand, the place is old, not very well-cleaned, and the room smelled of mildew and moisture. The hot water for the shower was difficult to control and often fluctuated between boiling and cold. There was supposed to be a shuttle for from the airport, but there was a miscommunication somewhere along the line, and I had to wait an hour for a shuttle to arrive, thereby adding 3 hours to what had already been a long transatlantic flight. When I finally did arrive, the front desk couldn't make change for me, and I had no choice but to grossly overtip the porter. On the other hand, it's located in a very nice part of the city, it's conveniently located from the embassy and 2 international-quality supermarkets, the breakfast--albeit simple--was quite good, and they included crepes (yum)! The service was very good, and the manager, Mr. Sall, was very friendly and helpful. Staff were friendly and easy to talk to, even despite the occasional language hurdle. The swimming pool was surprisingly clean and refreshing. Overall, I was satisfied with my stay, but I don't know if I would have felt the same way had I had to stay there on my own dime.

Average I really struggled with their beddings and towels which appears somewhat discolored and old . I’d encourage management to consider changing those. The location is however perfect for meetings at the UN offices which is right opposite. My washroom was rather small and difficult to maneuver. My first instinct when I got to my room was to try change to another hotel to be honest . But to be fair, the room sizes was ok though the wooden floor tiles were all squeaky.

The hotel urgently needs PEST CONTROL. It's relatively clean but better can be done. The inside of the property is looking aged and slowly decaying. Renovations are due. The WiFi speed is good. The location is great. Being given a room with direct proximity to a construction site, I asked for a room change. The receptionist gave me another room directly on the construction site, one floor up! Obviously, she had no clue which room is where in the property...

Stayed for 2 nights and would most likely stay again. The front desk staff were friendly and helpful throughout our stay. Upon entering hotel, must go through metal detectors, which I guess is becoming pretty standard these days. My room was large with a double bed, sitting area and desk. There was a safe in the room, but I didn't use it. The bathroom was ok. Basic toiletries included including washcloths. One night, it took about 1 hour for my water to work. You can imagine my suprise when i hopped in the shower with no water, not a drop. Thankfully, i didnt have to resort to using bottles of water to bathe. Other than that mishap, room was decent. We ate breakfast, lunch, and dinner at the hotel. Although there are plenty of restaurants nearby, we opted to stay in. All the meals we had were good. No complaints. Overall,...

I am visiting Dakar for the first time and had the good fortune to stay here at this hotel. The hotel shuttle staff at the airport are friendly and showed us landmarks in town as we rode past. The food is good. Staff are friendly and very professional. Its in a vantage part of town. The older version of the hotel is in the Plateau and is right in the middle of a location where there are nice little shops, restaurants and Spas. |The only downside was the mustiness of carpets in some rooms. This is being managed by the hotel. I recommend this place...
